“Improved our productivity”

Pros

Freedom has become one of the most important apps I use. It cuts off the distractions that so easily pull my attention away or that I sometimes let pull me away and gives me the space to concentrate on what really matters most.

Cons

The only downside is that it can be a bit tricky to sort out exactly which websites or apps should be allowed and which ones should be blocked.

“works so well across devices”

Pros

Across all my devices and platforms, it reliably blocks the websites and apps that usually distract me which helps me stay focused. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it does that really well.

Cons

At this point, there isn't anything I dislike about it.

“helps with focused work”

Pros

It keeps things simple while still including the tools you need to block internet access and stay focused on your work.

Cons

Future sessions are too easy to delete. I'd prefer stronger restrictions so I can't remove sessions planned for the next day or even the next week.

“easy and flexible scheduling!”

Pros

Getting started with it was very simple and using it feels simple from the beginning. It gives you plenty of scheduling options for blocking websites which really helps when you're trying to stay productive and cut down on distractions.

Cons

Honestly nothing comes to mind as a downside. I've used it for a long time and it still stands out as one of the best tools available in this category.

“powerful focus tools across devices”

Pros

Pretty much everything about this app works for me. I really appreciate that it supports almost all major browsers and handles tricky network-related edge cases well across different browsers. It also covers the major operating systems and devices which makes it reliable no matter where I'm working. Also, it includes a lot of small but genuinely useful productivity features, like Focus Sounds for background white noise. The Locked Mode is another feature I value a lot since once it's turned on, I can't disable Freedom.to and that helps me stay on track.

Cons

One thing missing for me as an Android user is the ability to create multiple app blocklists. Right now android only allows one default blocklist which feels limiting. That said, I had a really positive experience with their management team. I reached out about it and they told me they're already working on the feature and that it should be available soon.

“Excellent!”

Pros

Pairing Freedom with the Pomodoro technique has been a really effective way for me to stay on track and actually get things done.

Cons

The subscription model is my only real complaint. I'd much rather pay once instead of having to renew it every year especially since some competing tools already offer that kind of pricing.

“I rely on it”

Pros

It is simple to use and I appreciate that it's available both as a mobile app and a desktop download. On Mac, you can add a plugin to the toolbar which makes starting a session really quick. I use it every day to keep distractions under control.

Cons

There's very little to complain about. On the rare occasion I've run into an issue, customer support has been incredibly fast and helpful in getting it resolved.
