“text tool is frustratingly broken
Pros
I have relied on Lumin for signatures for a long time and it's never let me down. Plus all the different tools for adding text and signing PDFs are really helpful.
Cons
The text tool sometimes cuts off letters or words if the text box is too long. I wasted a lot of time creating multiple boxes just to make my text appear correctly after saving and exporting and eventually had to switch to a different program to finish the job.

“Opens and works on any pdf easily
Pros
With Lumin PDF, I can open and work on any PDF from my email without any hassle. Because it connects to Google Drive, saving, printing, sharing and signing documents is a smooth process.
Cons
For the most part, I am completely happy with this tool. As it lets me save files directly to my drive, share them with my team and download them whenever I need to.

“Simple to use and highly customizable
Pros
It is so simple to use and gives us different ways to edit like crossing things out or using a checkmark. Basically we can customize things a lot to fit how we work.
Cons
The pricing can be a bit steep for smaller operations or individuals who only handle a few documents each month. So a cheaper plan or a free tier with paid upgrades would be really helpful.

“A user friendly and clean PDF editor
Pros
Viewing and editing PDFs is really simple with it. The interface is also clean and works perfectly. It's my primary PDF editor and I plan to keep using it. So I would tell anyone looking for a good PDF tool to give it a shot. Great job, Lumin team!
Cons
My only regret is not finding it sooner. I was stuck with poor PDF editors that made me constantly transfer and re-download files for simple edits. Another suggestion would be to allow at least 3 signatures on a document as the current limit of 2 feels too restrictive.

“An excellent resource for studying
Pros
Being able to highlight specific parts of a PDF so easily is a feature I use all the time. Overall it is an excellent resource for studying and reviewing materials.
Cons
On a few occasions, it glitched and deleted some pages I had open but aside from that, it works well.

“User-friendly!
Pros
Everything is so user friendly and easy to understand. The layout is also clean and visually clear. Plus I really like that the free version had all the features I needed.
Cons
After you finish typing in a text box, the text sometimes shifts upward slightly. This makes it a bit frustrating to get the alignment just right.

“Fantastic syncing across all devices
Pros
The way it syncs my highlights and notes across all my devices is fantastic, I can always access my work no matter where I am.
Cons
Scrolling through a PDF on the computer can be a little janky at times though it's usually an easy problem to fix. Other than that we have not had any other issues.

“Easy to use after a short learning period
Pros
After a short learning period, it became very easy to use. Plus the option to type or draw with my laptop's trackpad was particularly useful.
Cons
The requirement to invite another person to your document just to create a new one was not my favorite. I understand that businesses need to do this but having an option to watch an ad instead would be much better, especially for personal use.

“Super easy to figure out
Pros
Lumin is super easy to figure out, even if you are not great with technology. Finding our way around the platform is also not an issue and we can locate the tools we need without any trouble. Adding text or our signature to a document is also fast and simple, which is ideal for filling out forms or giving feedback on files.
Cons
One of the main downside is that it can be slow to upload bigger files but even with that, it remains a very useful tool for us.

“simple & integrates with drive
Pros
You can get started with a free version and it works perfectly with Google Drive. It is also just really simple to operate.
Cons
My one issue with the software is that the free version has a limit on how many PDFs you can sign.

“gets basic signing done
Pros
It handles the basic task of signing documents without any fuss which is the only thing I like about it.
Cons
We often run into problems trying to open a Google Doc directly within the software.

“A restricted and pushy free tier
Pros
Lumin PDF has a Chrome extension and connects directly with Google Drive and it is easy to find our way around and use. The design is also clean, making it a reliable tool for completing forms and adding digital signatures.
Cons
The free tier is very restricted. Plus we get frequent pop-ups urging us to upgrade. While you can add notes to a PDF, you cannot actually edit the text itself without paying. On top of that a free account only lets you work with three documents for editing or sharing.

“Smooth google integration
Pros
My favorite thing is how smoothly it works with Google, letting me open, modify and sign documents straight from my Drive where they are saved automatically.
Cons
It can feel a bit slow to load at times. The cost is also a factor for me because as a freelancer who only needs to sign or tweak a document now and then, 20 euros per month feels a little high for the most basic editing plan. Also when you click to add text, the box appears slightly misaligned. You can adjust it afterward but it is a bit awkward, so the user experience could be smoother.

“very user-friendly pdf application
Pros
Lumin is a very user-friendly application for handling your PDFs. It comes with a lot of handy tools and its integration with Google Drive is a major benefit. Plus the interface is pleasant and it is very easy to work with.
Cons
I will be the first to say it is not flawless but there is nothing specific that stands out as a major problem.

“pretty limited paid subscription
Pros
The connection with Google Drive is a really helpful feature to have.
Cons
Even the paid subscription feels very limited in its features. It does not come close to matching what Adobe Acrobat can do. A frustrating aspect is that all our files are managed solely through Lumin's own website or app so if we close our account, we lose every document stored there. And there is no OCR functionality. Editing text is cumbersome too and copy-pasting between pages does not work well. Text boxes often cut off content and moving them around is restrictive, with many seemingly blank areas on the page where you cannot place anything. You cannot even modify or remove background images, page rearrangement is sluggish, merging PDFs is awkward and file conversion is often inaccurate.

“A clean and precise electronic signature
Pros
I am quite impressed with how clean and precise the electronic signature looks.
Cons
Let me tell you that you really need to use a separate, secure cloud drive as a backup to make sure you do not lose any of your saved files.
