“Easy and really helpful
Pros
I use TechSmith all the time. It's super user-friendly and helps me quickly highlight and present key information for both our customers and brand partners. It's definitely a go-to tool for us.
Cons
The version we use for screen grabs has a limited number of editing features, which can be a bit restricting.

“Amazing functionality
Pros
It's really easy to use and super flexible, whether it's audio, presentations or whatever else pops into your head, you can probably do it.
Cons
Honestly, nothing to complain about. It's super easy to pick up and use right out of the box, no training needed.

“Big help getting videos off my phone
Pros
So easy, fast and cheap honestly, amazing! I was struggling with other tools that took 40 minutes to transfer a 10 minute video and then would freeze up. Then I found TechSmith's Capture, it compressed the video and saved it straight into my Camtasia project in just a couple of minutes. Absolute bliss! I'm so glad I found it. Now I can finally move forward with projects that were totally stuck just because of slow transfers. What a relief!
Cons
Nothing reallyit's just so quick and easy! If I didn't already use Camtasia, it wouldn't be as useful to me but since I do, it works perfectly.

“You can tell the dev team put thought into this
Pros
The review system really needs more stars for "Value for Money"! I don't have time to sit and figure out complicated software and this one works right out of the box. Is it perfect? No software is. But this one's close I would say 99 out of 100. I've used it for years and it's by far the best software for the price. You usually get what you pay for, but sometimes you get lucky and find a product like this that gives way more than expected. It's honestly the easiest self-starting tool I've ever come across. I don't think any competitor even comes close in terms of ease of use.
Cons
I've never been able to fully figure out how to remove the black space around the video completely.

“Works well now, but could be even better
Pros
TechSmith Capture is one of those tools you install and stick with for the long haul. What I love most is the setup and interface , it installs quickly, doesn't take up much space and opens in a small, simple window that's super intuitive. Anyone can learn it in just a few minutes. It just sits quietly in the taskbar until you need it. I love that I can record my screen with internal audio, my mic or just what's happening on screen. Plus thereis a floating button that makes pausing and resuming recordings really easy, it's always accessible.
Cons
What bugs me is that sometimes the session closes on my laptop and I have to log in again. That's frustrating when I need to record something quickly. There's also a small bug where it opens the browser to log in before launching the app, it is the only real inconvenience I've had.

“Screen capture that gets the job done
Pros
It's free to use.You can upload images and videos to cloud services like your Screencast account. It comes with basic annotation tools for images like arrows, highlights and more.
Cons
The lowest Windows OS it supports is Windows 10, which could be limiting for anyone running older systems.

“One of the better tools for screenshots
Pros
So easy to learn/use and packed with extra features if you need them. Training is also available, which is helpful. And the maintenance agreement makes sure I always have access to the latest version.
Cons
I actually like it just the way it is. There's nothing I would want to change.

“Free and simple, but a bit limited
Pros
It's TechSmith's free screenshot tool, the younger sibling of the more advanced Snagit. Simple, reliable and handy.
Cons
Found the old Jing tool (the earlier version) to be more polished. The main downside now is that the app has to stay open like a dock instead of just running in the background and popping up with a shortcut, I would prefer it the other way around.
