WhatsApp alternative customized for businesses

Pros

In my opinion it is a pretty user friendly chat app with an all in one management dashboard for user control.

Cons

Well I am excited to see multi-device functionality in the future.

Trusted tool for confidential information

Pros

Unlike other services where providers and their partners can access metadata or even entire communications, Threema ensures full encryption with very little metadata being generated. Plus it generates revenue through app sales not by selling user data. With it we are the customers, whereas with WhatsApp, we are essentially the product being sold.

Cons

Unfortunately I noticed it does not support voice or video calls on desktop which is a feature that Signal offers and does better.

Budget-friendly. I highly recommend it!

Pros

Threema Work is simple to set up and use. It lets us communicate effortlessly between iOS, Android, Mac and PC devices. There is no spam on it unlike WhatsApp which is filled with spam messages and scam calls.

Cons

I use it internationally especially between Mexico, the US and the UK. In Mexico WhatsApp dominates and I have found it hard to convince new customers to switch to it. People often change phones and numbers and they do not prioritize backing up their contacts or chats.

great replacement for WhatsApp

Pros

User management is streamlined through the management cockpit (MDM) so there is no need to use personal phone numbers or emails. Also the support team is highly knowledgeable, responsive and always ready to help us in a friendly manner.

Cons

At first it was hard for us to get oriented with so many settings and options.

Pros

It is fast, secure, and reliable. The good thing is that it does exactly what it is meant to do. Honestly there is nothing more I can add.

Legally good for schools!

Pros

The speed of it is impressive. Additionally the order processing is fully compliant with legal standards and has proven highly beneficial for us.

Cons

Setting up new users is complicated without prior knowledge. Also handling employee phone swaps is a challenge for me.

Excellent app for communication without linking a phone number

Pros

Now we have no need for an additional or personal phone number. Also surveys within the app are neatly organized and reassigning a completed ID to prevent data clutter is pretty simple.

Cons

The admin app takes a bit of time to get used to. Also I noticed that non-Threema users do not have a read only function available.

All-around excellent

Pros

Everything about it is good. As I have the option to pause receiving messages whenever I need to which is really convenient.

Cons

No complaints so far. I am really happy with the software.
