Buildern allows us to be more transparent with our clients and their estimates by including overheads, insurances, and builder costs as a default, rather than randomly dispersing these costs within an estimate. Creating an assembly is far easier than other programs I've used. The home screen is simple to navigate. Variations are easy to create and present clearly to the client.
Cons
Some features need refining to be more efficient, like integrating timesheets into Xero, a dashboard for multiple projects using the same trades, etc., and hopefully adding a CRM down the line.

The standout feature for me is their estimation tool. With just a few clicks, I can transform project plans into comprehensive estimates with material and labor costs. What sets it apart is how it allows me to personalize these estimates to my clients' specifications with remarkable ease. Managing my network of subcontractors and suppliers is centralized. Issuing purchase orders is very easy from the central dashboard, and the seamless integration with accounting systems like QuickBooks makes financial tracking simple and automated. Buildern makes everything simple and effortless, leading to smoother project flow, clearer communication, and more time for quality workflows.
Cons
If there's one area I'm eager to see evolve, it's the mobile app's features. The current convenience for on-site management is impressive, but having more of Buildern's functionalities on the mobile platform would greatly enhance the flexibility and freedom to manage projects on the go.

It has everything in one software. We had to use two or more programs to run our business until we found Buildern.
Cons
A couple of modules need more features to improve efficiency, but I believe these are in development. The mobile app also needs more of the online features, which I understand are coming soon, but all the essential on-site modules are already available for our team.

I really like the scheduling module. Creating schedule items is very easy, and I can change them whenever I want. I often use the Dependency set function when planning. My favorite feature is Buildern's reminders, which let me send notifications to my teammates and subcontractors before starting work. One of the best options of Buildern is its customizability, offering many ways to manipulate and change data. A dream for project managers. I'm very satisfied with the service quality. They constantly update the system and share news. I learned the mobile app will be available soon, along with a feature where, after signing the contract, the system copies the data into the project, so you don't need to fill in the info manually. I'm eagerly waiting for that.
Cons
One downside is the lack of a mobile app. You don't always have a computer on hand, but sometimes you need to take urgent action. The mobile app is extremely important.

The first thing I like is managing existing projects and opportunities. Once the contract is signed, all the info is automatically copied into the project without manual data entry. The second cool thing is estimating budgets and actual job costs. This is crucial as it shows the impact of changes in material prices or labor costs on the budget immediately. Excellent! Lastly, communication is easy. This software is well designed, allowing clients or contractors to get emails and respond without logging in. They like this feature. Overall, communication with the construction site is also well organized and needs no special knowledge to set up.

Pros
The team is amazing. This is the first CRM/project management tool that has delivered what they promised. When they said they would roll out an automated follow-up feature in a month, they did. The tool for managing potential projects in the pipeline is great, helping us follow up with customers and sign more jobs. Different sections pull data as you progress, minimizing double entry work. Once the contract is signed, all the info is pulled into the project and filled out, ready to go. The budgeting and job costing tool is robust, with significant improvements in recent months. Comparing budget to actual is extremely easy. The biggest advantage is the improved communication between our clients and project managers. Communication is key, and while we still have room to improve, the software makes it easier.
Cons
I think the scheduling tool could be improved. I've talked to their dev team, and they mentioned they're working on a few features, but I haven't seen anything yet. I'll update this review once I do. I'm personally used to using Microsoft Project, so maybe I'm biased. I still prefer Project for scheduling.

“A Complete Revelation

Honestly, this software was a revelation for me. Eight months ago, my uncle and I started our construction business, and on a friend's advice, we tried Buildern's free package first and then switched to the Starter Plan. We're generally satisfied. There are things to improve, but for now, we're totally okay with it. The price is a great deal compared to other market options. The planning function is the best. The flexibility is outstanding, and the interface is simple and clear. Everything works fast. If you love to plan and arrange everything carefully, this is for you. We use this function everywhere: construction process, job management, sales, and invoicing. It runs perfectly! Communication is also well organized. We easily connect with people and manage tasks. There are constant updates in this direction. It's pretty good but will be much better.
Cons
Sometimes things get complicated, especially with formatting. I'd like a much simpler approach here. But as I mentioned, it feels like the devs are working on the product and following feedback, which is great news for users. I hope they read my review too.
