“Looks basic but works great

Pros

I really enjoy how easy the interface is to use for me and my team. It makes it simple for us to collaborate on construction documents. With this system, we were able to streamline everything and even standardize the whole approval process which saved us a lot of time and confusion.

Cons

It doesn't have a fully developed drawing management tool yet but their tech team told me they'd work with us to make sure our needs are covered.

“Worth the money

Pros

What stand out to me the most was how simple it was to use, along with the great templates it offered. On top of that, the vendor gave us excellent training and stayed in touch with helpful follow-ups which made the experience even better.

Cons

The help button really doesn't solve any of the issues I run into with navigation.

“Keeps projects organized and saves hours

Pros

I use it to track my projects and I love how subs can log in to see all the project documents, submit change order requests and even handle pay apps. It's been such a reliable system and honestly, I can't imagine trying to manage commercial projects without it anymore.

Cons

The hardest part is getting small subcontractors to actually use It. But honestly, whenever one of them resists logging in, I just call Building Blok support and they walk them through everything step by step until they're in the system.

“Smart and practical software

Pros

I find it very organized and super user-friendly. It pulls together everything we need for a project from estimating and management to financials and closeout, so it really keeps the whole process coordinated.

Cons

Honestly, nothing to complain about. I feel like this product has thought through every angle of project management and covered what's needed to manage things properly.

“Administratively Easy

Pros

Using it was very easy and it gave us full transparency across different parts of the project. I liked that the admins could quickly see how things were moving through the approval chain and subcontractors could easily jump in to access documents for their prospective projects. It really kept everyone on the same page.

Cons

Setting up a project felt kind of clunky and would slow down the initial entry sometimes. Every new project needed us to put in both contract and subcontract info which was repetitive since we already use an accounting system. On top of that, managing the approval chain wasn't easy and some parts just didn't flow in a straight line.

“Cheap and good solution

Pros

For me, the best part was how easy it was to get started and it didn't cost a lot either. The customer support was also great whenever I needed help. Since we were new to file-sharing programs like this, it gave us a solid understanding of the pros and cons without spending a fortune.

Cons

I felt like we were using the product in its early development stage. We ran into more issues than I expected but to be fair, every single problem was fixed right away.

“Makes my job easier

Pros

Managing a construction project feels like juggling way too many things at once but it really feels like having an extra set of hands helping me keep it all under control.

Cons

It works best when all or at least most of the stakeholders are actually involved.

“Covers all the bases for us

Pros

I actually appreciate that this software is limited to just what we need. There aren't any unnecessary bells and whistles crammed in. A lot of construction management tools get too caught up in accounting features but this one focuses exactly on what matters for us.

Cons

The only thing I dislike is how hard it is to back up the information on a daily basis.

“Good support!

Pros

What I really like is being able to keep all our documents in one place and having direct access to clients and subs under the same project. The support team is awesome too, whenever I call or email for help, I usually get a response in under 30 minutes which makes a huge difference.

Cons

I don't really have complaints, everything I need is right there at the touch of a button.

“Steady tool for running jobs

Pros

We've been using it for about 5 years now and it's honestly saved us a crazy amount of time. It takes care of document storage, processing, transmitting and all that without making things complicated. It's easy to use but still really powerful.

Cons

They're always adding new features which is great but it can be tough to keep both us and our subs fully up to date with all the changes.
