“Another software program obviously designed by people with no real world construction experience.
Pros
The estimating feature is genuinely nice. The proposals look clean and professional, and adding price options is a breeze.
Cons
The invoicing system is terrible and lacks flexibility. You can only create a purchase order from your items list if it's already in your estimate. So, if you encounter unexpected costs that you won't bill the customer for, you can't generate a purchase order for them. There's no way to know if the customer has opened their estimate. Customer support is inadequate, and the training sessions on setting up and using the product are far too short. Three 45-minute sessions are nowhere near enough. I spent hours reading articles and watching videos. I made three phone calls for assistance, but they couldn't provide answers either. On all three occasions, they promised to look into it and get back to me, but they never did.

“Great for larger companies
Pros
I really enjoyed using CoConstruct on the desktop version. The estimating functionality was something I had been searching for, and it played a significant role in my decision to choose this product.
Cons
The Specs & Selections feature was crucial for our team. However, accessing it through the mobile app was not easy, and my team desired a more accessible solution. Additionally, the cost was higher than our budget allowed, considering it didn't fully meet our needs.

“Very useful but complicated
Pros
I like how we can easily build very professional looking proposals. We just need to add the data to create templates and its all uphill from there.
Cons
I would appreciate if there was a way to find out what your cost of completion would be. This feature is available in quickbooks.

“Satisfactory results
Pros
It is cost effective and the greatest thing for me is the AWA approval.
Cons
It should be an option to see all project schedules on a master schedule.

“CoConstruct makes it clean!
Pros
I was initially looking for something on a budget but had no luck finding anything as good as CoConstruct. It has all the features some big names in the tech industry provides and goes beyond that.
Cons
UI is good but the software itself feels dated. It feels like its been written in .asp?! No wonder it runs this slow.

“Full of features yet surprisingly affordable
Pros
I love the pre-made templates and the fact that I can interact with both my customers and vendors on the same platform.
Cons
There are so many features that it may seem overwhelming at first. Be sure to invest in the training of your employees and make use of all the perks.

“Free trial is a rip-off
Pros
There are some generally good functionalities when you look at the overall package. The list of features they provide is competitive.
Cons
There are some major flaws in accounting, scheduling and day-to-day stuff like submitting a variation via phone. We spent 10s of hours trying to implement it and when we decided not to go with this the customer team refused to refund stating that we have to go through 2 additional sessions. What a waste of time.

“Great program. Incredible value!
Pros
It has aided us in improving our management process and I can now maintain a transparent mode of communication with my customers which is amazing.
Cons
Most of my suppliers and subcontractors are not currently on this system so that has been the greatest challenge so far.

“Fantastic product that helps provide excellent service
Pros
One single greatest feature is that its built with a clients perspective in mind instead of just the builders. Our clients have been able to easily understand the progress of different stages.
Cons
It integrates well with Quickbooks but we dont use it so its a disadvantage for us.

“great payroll and timesheet feature
Pros
The payroll and timesheet features work really well for our needs as they're simple to use and reliable so we never have to worry about errors or delays. It's made managing hours and processing pay so much smoother for the whole team.
Cons
A few of our team members struggle with the timeclock feature.

“Overcomplicates basic tasks
Pros
Estimating features work well for our projects and the Gantt chart functionality helps keep everything organized. Customer support has been responsive whenever we've needed assistance but that's where the pros end..
Cons
The system makes simple things like sending invoices way harder than they should be. There's no dashboard or accounts receivable features and you won't get email confirmations either. It's pretty obvious this wasn't built by anyone who actually works in construction and we had to find workarounds just to make it functional for our needs.

“Handles several projects
Pros
Managing several projects and keeping all communications organized in one spot has been really helpful for my workflow.

Trading partners tend to overcomplicate things when all they really need to do is just reply to emails.

“Great for keeping in touch with clients

Cons
I wish there was a way to add descriptions when uploading pictures, that would make things much more organized.

“Complex estimating feature
Pros
Being able to consolidate everything in one spot has been a game-changer. Build plans, sub-contractor communication and all the documentation I need. The mobile app is really handy for keeping everything updated when I'm out in the field.
Cons
The estimating feature feels pretty buggy to work with. You can't load multiple estimates from subcontractors into the system and then pick which options you want while having the budget update automatically. This becomes a real pain when you're weighing different approaches for things like roofing, siding or kitchen work. Even though estimating is supposed to be one of their main selling points, it doesn't really flex with how you'd naturally want to price out a project.

“Useful features
Pros
I really appreciate all the helpful features this software offers. The scheduling function is definitely my favorite, it makes staying on top of upcoming tasks so much easier.
Cons
Mobile version crashes constantly when I'm trying to upload files. It's really frustrating to use out in the field and you need a rock-solid internet connection for it to work properly.

“Lets clients see what we're building
Pros
Creating estimates here and linking them directly to specs keeps everything organized in one spot. Clients can see exactly what we're building and which materials we'll use which cuts down on last-minute surprises for everyone. It's easy to show customers ways to save money and give them upgrade options. Since the scheduling is global, our suppliers and contractors really appreciate having access to it. The estimating and specification integration is also a fantastic tool that our team uses regularly.
Cons
Setting up new projects takes forever especially when dealing with a bunch of random items. Since I handle tons of home inspection reports, creating a template I can actually import for each job is nearly impossible. The client view isn't as user-friendly as I'd hoped. When I break down cost lines for different items, I can't show customers the description for each line item. It's also tough to work through the task list while I'm on-site because everything gets grouped into broad categories instead of showing me a single list with all the individual items. You can add whatever you want to the schedule and track progress but I really wish I could import specs and specifications directly into the timeline.
