“Overall Good product
Pros
I find this program incredibly useful for estimating projects of any size. Since it's cloud-based, I can access it from anywhere, which is a huge advantage.
Cons
I noticed that it doesn't offer a lot of options, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars, but overall, I'm very pleased with the service it provides us.

“Easy to use. With little training
Pros
Using it in the field is very easy and it simplifies the bidding process a lot. It's definitely worth the investment if you're a contractor.
Cons
I wish there was a save button to store information when I get sidetracked and come back later to enter my details.

“Do yourself a favour and get this software
Pros
The ease of use and the smart system are impressive. This software marks a significant advancement in estimation technology.
Cons
There's very little to complain about. Maybe the team could add metrics to the system eventually. Overall, this software is quite good.

“The customer service that we have received from Estimator360 is beyond belief.
Pros
The possibilities with this software are only limited by my imagination. Estimator 360 is feature-rich, and whenever I encounter an issue or feel something is missing, I just send a quick message to support. They respond swiftly, adding new features or guiding me to features I overlooked. Their service deserves a 10 on a scale of 1 to 5!
Cons
It takes some time for the software to become second nature.

“Unbelievable customer service- follow up. Proactive in seeking feedback. Serious about my success.
Pros
It's clear that this software was built by someone with real-world experience. The company's dedication to tailoring the software to meet my needs is refreshing. The fact that it's designed with flexibility for users, by someone who actually uses it, shows a genuine commitment to excellence.
Cons
Any downsides I see are more about the company's age rather than any fundamental issues. The platform adapts to various user needs.

“Overall the software is great. The more I use it the easier it becomes to use, it is a great.
Pros
After using it a few times, it remembers the costs from previous proposals, so I'm not always starting from scratch. It's perfect for breaking down proposals by different areas.
Cons
It's new to me, and starting with something new is always a bit challenging. It just takes some effort to get used to the software.

“Bid4Build Review
Pros
I can't say anything positive about this software. It's the most awkward system I've ever used, with an interface that feels outdated and many unnecessary steps to get results. I regret spending money on Bid4Build and its takeoff module. I've gone back to using an Excel spreadsheet and a more efficient digital takeoff program. If you value your time, don't invest in this software.
Cons
There's nothing I like about this product. It's the most cumbersome software I've ever used. I've worked with high-end estimating software like Quest/Maxwell and even low-end options like the free software with Craftsman databases.

“Amazing software! It will not disappoint you.
Pros
There are several features I love, but I'll mention a few. The integration with Excel is seamless, and creating and maintaining a Master Costbook is invaluable. It speeds up the process and keeps historical data up-to-date. Plus, the integration with MS Project provides a quick schedule for estimates.
Cons
I don't dislike anything. I just wish I had discovered it sooner.

“High-end Remodeler & Custom Home Builder
Pros
Last year, our sales were just under $10 million, with projects ranging from $10k to over $2 million. This software met all our needs. Initially, it took some time to grasp the relational functionality, but customer support has always been responsive, often within 24 hours. I paid for support initially and was very satisfied with the guidance provided. Over the years, I've come to appreciate how easily I can develop and modify my cost book information. I was concerned about the cost, thinking that pricier systems might be better, but Bid4Build proves otherwise. I also appreciate that we own it outright with no ongoing costs. For what you get, the price is a bargain, and Bid4Build could easily charge double and still be a great value.
Cons
I didn't give it 5 stars, but overall, I'm very happy with the service it provides us.

“Most Powerful Bidding Software
Pros
I've had B4B for years, and although the initial learning curve was challenging, once I committed, I found that it met all our company's needs. The provided cost books cover everything from remodeling to heavy commercial construction. We've developed several cost books tailored to our multi-state locations and can produce highly detailed takeoffs that serve as instruction manuals for our superintendents. The vendor has always responded promptly to our emails and even followed up to ensure we were on track. The tutorials make learning the software quite intuitive. Invest the time to learn it, and you'll be glad you did.
Cons
The software takes time to become intuitive, partly because of our specific estimating methods and the customization needed. It's not foolproof and requires attention to detail. I have no issues with the vendor, who has always been responsive and accommodating.

“Very happy Bid4Build customer since 2006!
Pros
It's an excellent value for the price with no monthly subscriptions like other estimating software. The customer service is top-notch, and the reports look professional.
Cons
The only downside is a bit of a learning curve initially. I managed to figure out the program on my own over time, but Bid4Build offers online training if you need assistance.

“I highly recommend Bid4build
Pros
After 17 years in the industry, I started a construction consulting company and bought Bid4Build to assist clients with their bids. It seemed intense at first, but after a few days of playing around with it, I got the hang of it. Support has been fantastic; I received personal calls and setup training, and when I had questions, I got responses within the hour. I've just started my own construction company, and even during this recession, Bid4Build is helping me support my family and employees. I love it. The live takeoff add-on with plan integration is a game-changer for getting bids out quickly. It handles contracts, scheduling, exporting, everything.
Cons

“Bid4Build The Right Choice
Pros
As a small GC, I was overwhelmed by the range of estimating software options, priced from $50 to $10,000. Fortunately, Bid4Build was highly recommended and priced at just $295. They offered a great video and hands-on demo, so I could try it out without a lengthy sales pitch. The included 1-hour overview, extensive help tools, and excellent support were fantastic. Even though I struggled initially, the 1-on-1 training with an actual estimate was incredibly valuable. For just $99, it provided a crucial jump start and helped me streamline my process. I even did two more sessions as I became more familiar with the software and wanted to explore additional tools like scheduling and contract writing.
Cons
There's nothing negative. They keep improving it constantly and even added a new Takeoff product at the end of last year.
