Continuously Improving
Pros

I can perform a lot of exports and drill downs within this program. It packs a ton of functions into a single system.

Cons

Because there are so many moving parts, I sometimes encounter issues with them.

Great system with great value.
Pros

It's a simple, reliable, and versatile program offering great value.

Cons

Some of the supplementary modules are not as well supported as the main ones. For instance, estimating, although it's a fantastic hidden gem, could use some extra attention.

Account Payables Admin
Pros

Navigating this is ery easy. It's a fantastic tool for tracking paid and unpaid invoices.

Cons

While processing invoices, there's a risk of losing a batch without any reason, forcing me to start over. Once data is lost, there's no way to retrieve it.

Ecliptic experience
Pros

I particularly enjoyed the progress billing feature. It accounts for every little detail from start to finish, making it easy to track and review performance on the spot.

Cons

I'm not fond of the cash management feature because there's no integration between the bank and Eclipse, which means I have to manually process bank entries.

Our move to Eclipse
Pros

It covers all our accounting needs. Explorer keeps enhancing the product.

Cons

Explorer's history as a software supplier to the Canadian construction market means some terms are Canadian rather than American, but it's not a big deal and adds a bit of amusement for us users now and then.

Great Support Team
Pros

Besides liking the software, I really appreciate the support we get for general questions or problems. The Eclipse team is always quick and professional with their assistance.

Cons

The initial setup requires some time and dedication, but it's definitely worth it once it's done.

Good Windows based construction accounting software
Pros

The program is exceptionally easy to understand and navigate. Its interface is designed in such a way that finding and using its features is remarkably easy. Even those who might not be tech-savvy will find it accessible, as the layout and options are clearly organized and easy to locate.

Cons

Some components are not as integrated as the construction software we used before.

Pros

I love having a mobile version that I can use on my iPhone.

Cons

We had to make numerous modifications, but it seems to be working great now. Next, we need to look into making the mobile version more convenient for our site foremen.

RUN!
Pros

I wish I could mention a positive aspect, but I haven't seen one yet.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. There's no product education, and they just assume I know how to use it. If I have issues, I have to create a ticket, and they send me a related article to figure it out myself. Considering we pay over $9,000 a year for support, this is not my idea of adequate service.

Small ERP System but unreliable
Pros

This software is ideally suited for small construction firms. It offers a range of features and tools that cater specifically to the needs of smaller organizations in the construction industry. Its capabilities are well-aligned with the typical requirements of these businesses, making it an excellent choice for managing their projects, finances, and operations efficiently.

Cons

The AR/AP modules don't function as expected and require a lot of manual intervention to get POs and invoices approved. The support is limited and insufficient, missing standards and showing unwillingness to improve the software.

Be Prepared to Spend Most of Your Time Problem Solving Instead of Doing Your Job
Pros

It's cloud-based with nothing else notable about this program.

Cons

AR - doesn't produce invoice PDFs, must be created outside the system - lacks a proper workflow even though the option exists - holdback invoices don't add GST when released, requiring a JE to fix it. AP - The invoice register took over 3 months to resolve issues on Eclipse's end to function properly, and with every update, something that worked before breaks. The subcontractor 'Pay-When-Paid' module is so complex it's unusable. Payroll - It's a construction management software that doesn't have Small Tools or other useful construction features. It's pointless. Can't see unit numbers linked to employee's time or vice versa. T4 setup can be manipulated, so incorrect setup or changes can cause serious issues with the PIER report. GL - I've never used a system that can put a Trial Balance out of balance, but this one manages it excellently.

Pros

Eclipse- One IDE which i used for Coding since 4+ years
Pros

It's one of the best IDEs used by many software engineers, and I'm used to it due to its numerous good features. The user interface is great for coding in style. Warnings and errors are very helpful during debugging, and it supports various plugins for integration.

Cons

For a beginner, installing Eclipse and importing projects with the right libraries, and inserting code can sometimes be tedious. But overall, it's a nice tool.

Good Solution to Enterprise Product Development
Pros

I've been using Eclipse for J2SE development with Java Entity Beans, and here are the pros I've found: 1) It's very easy to use and less resource-intensive compared to other IDEs 2) It supports languages like C++, Java, and JavaScript 3) Suitable for both beginners and professionals for developing rich applications 4) It comes with various themes and features auto-completion in the coding editor 5) The Window Builder Library is very useful for creating desktop applications.

Cons

Since it's an open-source project, it updates frequently, which is quite annoying for me due to high internet usage. It also has less customer support compared to other development IDEs.

Eclipse Review
Pros

Eclipse is highly customizable and excels in business analytics and custom inquiries. There are plenty of tools available for data retrieval. Their support staff is incredibly helpful.

Cons

The setup for Eclipse can be tedious and tiring, but the staff offers support to guide you through the process. Initially, the menu is hard to understand, but customization helps resolve that.

Not as Intuitive as I'd Like
Pros

I appreciate the amount of information I can view; I can add or remove columns to display the data I need and eliminate what I don't.

Cons

I dislike that the software is not very intuitive. I had to follow step-by-step instructions to learn how to use it because many features and fields weren't obvious in their purpose. I also didn't like that there are many visible fields in data entry areas that should be left blank; I'd prefer those fields be completely removed to avoid confusion when first learning the system.

Pros
