“Better Daily Inspection and Forms
Pros
The daily inspection report formatting works well as our checklist and makes tracking so much easier.
Cons
Ive lost completed inspection reports several times while trying to sign them or add distribution lists, forcing me to start over. I've also had issues where reports appeared to go through but didn't actually send because the photos were too large. Now, I have to resize all my photos to a lower resolution before uploading, which adds an unnecessary extra step

“Top Notch Support Team
Pros
Their support team is absolutely top notch. They pick up the phone immediately and get your issues resolved fast. The software suite has been a game changer for keeping our bid submissions consistent and making project tracking much simpler.
Cons
It's not very affordable but I'd say it pays for itself over time.

Pros
Making sweeping updates across the system is simple. When I need help, customer support is there and actually knows what they're talking about.
Cons
Sometimes I struggle to get it to behave the way I need it to. There are usually workarounds available but the platform can be pretty rigid by design.

“All in one tool
Pros
HCSS covers everything from initial bidding to project completion which is really convenient. Plus it helps boost safety protocols and keeps track of our equipment fleet. Pretty helpful if you ask me.
Cons
The reporting options are limited. There are specific reports I need that just aren't available. When clients want more detailed breakdowns for bids, getting that info out of the system is tricky.

The customer support feels really personal and they're incredibly helpful especially when you're just starting out.
Cons
I don't receive any alerts when data fails to sync from Vista to HCSS, so issues only become apparent when they start causing problems on our end

“Perfect software for bidding
Pros
Its simple to get the hang of and has valuable tools that help me bid projects accurately without making costly errors. I can easily update and make last minute changes right before deadlines which has been a lifesaver. For anyone in highway contracting, this software is essential for staying efficient and managing the entire bidding process effectively.
Cons
The main downside is really just the cost. Adding extra modules like Heavy Job can get pretty pricey especially for bigger companies. Other than that, I honestly can't find much to complain about.

Customer service is probably the best I've ever experienced. What really stands out is how everything connects together especially with our accounting software. We rely on HCSS HeavyBid and HeavyJob every single day and the integration just works.

Pros
Been relying on this software daily for about five years to manage our fleet of 60+ trucks and 300 pieces of equipment. The setup process was simple thanks to their helpful support team. Their customer service really stands out and they respond quickly and provide clear answers to questions. The interface is user friendly and there are still features I haven't explored yet that could be useful.
Cons
The interface looks pretty outdated and could really use a visual refresh. It doesn't impact how well it works but the design feels like its from another era.

The bidding process has become much more standardized and I can put together proposals faster with better accuracy. Our annual bid count has increased dramatically since we started using this system. Once projects get awarded, tracking them is precise and the job costing features make everything easy to follow.
Cons
Sometimes the mobile app gets buggy and you have to uninstall then reinstall it to get things working again

We've been using this software for years without any major issues, and their customer support is always great. We recently started using HeavyJob alongside it. There are tons of features, but getting everything set up took a lot of trial and error. After almost a year of tweaking, we're about 98% where we want to be. The ERP integration works well, but it needed quite a bit of customization since we use Vista a bit differently from most companies. The standard setup required several tweaks, but once we got everything dialed in, both products became pretty easy to use, and now our team uses them every da

My main concern is the cost especially with those yearly 5% price hikes. And how they focus way more on developing there iOS app than Android. Since we are a Samsung shop, we cant even use Production Planner without swapping out all our tablets.
