All in one solution

Pros

This program gives you all the necessary tools to manage materials effectively.

Cons

I find the software a bit tricky and it uses terms that are exclusive to it. For instance, when uploading a takeoff of IWP, I have to close Excel before doing the upload.

Helpful for the construction team

Pros

The report idea is really helpful for the construction team to see if they have the materials they need for the job.

Cons

There are problems with the report especially when it pulls data from Jovix production and often the ETL failure happens several times a week resulting in no report for our site team.

Simple to Use software

Pros

It is simple to pick up and the interface is really userfriendly. I saw this in my last job where a lot of people who weren't familiar with computers learned in no time. What I also like is the mobility and you can take your tablet anywhere. All the ATLAS IT support team working on site for Jovix were very professional and always ready to help.

Cons

Mobile tablets should always have internet access and transactions should be live on the servers. Time is crucial in the oil and gas industry and these tablets hold vital data that need to be uploaded immediately. I don't think it's a coincidence that the servers sometimes crash when 15 tablets with a lot of data try to sync all at once during lunch or after shifts. Not all tablets are fast either, some are slow and some don't have readers or GPS. Batteries also need to be tagged out. The software could also be more flexible with receiving, planning and purchasing tasks.

User friendly tool that needs some improvements

Pros

This tool is easy to get the hang of and it is especially great for warehouse management with its extra features.

Cons

There are features that are a bit too complicated and don't track history. The abbreviations used are confusing and when a picklist number is deleted, there is no traceability. Sometimes items that were actually received don't update in the system and saving completed items isn't reliable unless you print a hard copy for comparison.

Jovix is Efficient

Pros

I can easily get around the software using the workspace menu. Within seconds, I can find out more about a problem with inventory or materials, which helps me fix issues fast. I love the filtering options and how I can save my workspaces which come up the same way every time making it super convenient for me.

Cons

The one thing I dislike about the software is a small issue with the withdrawal request 'wizard.' When I need to delete multiple line items at once, the checkbox above the items is clickable but it still only deletes the first item. While this is a small issue, it leads me to just delete the whole MWR and start over when I need to remove or replace several line items.

A quick overview

Pros

The software is super simple. It reduces paper printouts which helps save the environment and costs. It also offers great traceability and links all the data together making technology work at its best.

Cons

There's certainly room for improvement. I hope for a simpler environment. Since this is our first time using Jovix, it should be customized to meet our project needs. The increasing number of material IDs and too many unnecessary icons and buttons make it complex. It would be better with a dropdown menu on the filter editor and improvements in integration.

Good on its own, not so much with other systems

Pros

The extract report is very useful and comparing it with the old system is easy especially with Excel. However, it requires strict input. For the ZOR Project, the quality of input during receiving inspections was really poor. There needs to be more training and an easier way to enter data to make the receiving PO process smoother.

Cons

The interface when using with other systems is a major problem. Specifically, the material management is lacking. Picking items one by one makes the process slower. There needs to be a group pick or insert menu for the supervisor.
