“LaborCharts is exactly what we were looking for!
Pros
This product is intuitive and simple to use. The setup was seamless and well executed. This software helps us manage our resources (employees) efficiently and smoothly.
Cons
I wish resource allocation and available bench time considered time off requests. It would also be fantastic if these requests were visible in the Gantt view of assignments. This crucial information is currently missing from the assignments.

It fulfills about 80% of our expectations. The team, especially support team is very supportive in addressing our improvement needs. Overall, we are quite impressed.

There are still quite a few bugs that need to be fixed.

“LaborChart - Get rid of spreadsheets
Pros
We have 9 Divisions across the US, each scheduling and managing manpower differently. We used various Excel spreadsheets, pads of paper, and some even managed it in their heads. Getting a snapshot of projects across the 9 divisions and available manpower was nearly impossible. LaborChart allowed each division to manage their manpower and projects independently, while providing a global view of all projects and employees. We can also track safety training and other certifications for each employee, ensuring they are up-to-date. During the pandemic, we used LaborChart for easy contact tracing.
Cons
The report feature of LaborChart is still developing, but they seem to add new features to the software every month.

“Saves Time, Energy, and Money!
Pros
Labor Chart is easy to operate! The pages are clearly labeled, and common features like the calendar remain consistent. This software is perfect for a busy company with people frequently in and out of the office!
Cons
Adjusting to the notification profiles and fine-tuning them has been the most challenging part. I can't even call this a pain point because our rep is so solution-focused and ensures we have all the information needed to find the best fit for our company.

“Resource Management
Pros
LaborChart is flexible, allowing me to filter and share specific information with stakeholders in our company. I can focus on specific teams, job types, date ranges, etc., for different management conversations. Whether high-level or detailed, LaborChart provides the data I need.
Cons
Some features are set up to navigate with a mouse. I use a trackball and don't have the same buttons, so I have to find a workaround.

“Whiteboards No More
Pros
We tried various options to digitize our day-to-day manpower moves but couldn't find the right fit. Manager and his team did a presentation, and we immediately wanted to adopt LaborChart.
Cons
I haven't found a downside to having this software. Anything we think we need, Manager and his team are already three steps ahead.

“Labor Chart review
Pros
We use Labor Chart daily in our commercial flooring company. Transitioning from a whiteboard to Labor Chart has made a 100% difference in our operations. I love being able to check our schedule on the road, something impossible with a whiteboard. Labor Chart is also very affordable and simple to use. I highly recommend this app.
Cons
I can honestly say there's nothing I dislike about LaborChart. It has checked all the boxes for my company.

“LaborChart For Subcontractors
Pros
The best part of the software is managing scheduling requests in one platform. Previously, we received requests via phone, email, and text, often missing details. Now, everything is organized, saving us time, effort, and money. Additional features like messaging, the mobile app, and tags make our team even more efficient!
Cons
I wish we could easily drag and drop our installers into the Gantt view. It would make our scheduling meetings run more smoothly.

“Game Changer
Pros
It's easy to navigate. I appreciate the clear and direct alerts, eliminating the need for follow-up questions. GREAT JOB!!
Cons
Nothing comes to mind. It's a new company, so it's still growing, but they're all about adapting it to the users' needs.

“Collaboration Across the Organization
Pros
LaborChart is very intuitive software that our users quickly adapted to! We used to have siloed spreadsheets in different geo-markets, but now we have greater visibility into projects and people across the entire organization.
Cons
It's not really a con, but since LaborChart is newer software, some features are still being developed to accommodate their customers. LaborChart is very open to feedback on future developments we want to see within the tool. We'd love better aggregate project tracking, more extensive reporting, and what-if scenario planning features added to the system.

“LaborChart Benefits
Pros
The ability to quickly overview how our workforce is deployed on jobs and ensure each employee is fully booked for a period.
Cons
LaborChart is excellent at tracking employee availability, but it stops there. It would be nice to have all our employee data in LaborChart instead of needing another HRIS package.

“Great asset to the labor team
Pros
LaborChart moved us from managing labor on a whiteboard to a cloud-based software. It keeps us up-to-date with where our manpower is. It also tracks certifications and licenses for our field team, accessible with a few clicks.
Cons
The only downside is that there's so much this software can do that we haven't been able to use it all yet.

“Labor Chart Changes Westphal and Company
Pros
LaborChart has transformed how we manage labor at Westphal and Company. It allows project and field managers to view and adjust labor schedules in real-time. It provides instant information on how labor changes impact our projections. Using integration for project info, we do monthly reviews comparing labor hours to projections, keeping our company running smoothly and efficiently.
Cons
Inline editing fixed the only major con I could think of. Nice work!

“All Information at our Fingertips
Pros
At a glance, Project Managers can see each electrician's experience and certifications on their projects. The Superintendent has all employee information on his phone, including phone numbers, addresses, and wages. He also has project addresses, daily burn rates, and hourly labor rates. The Operations Manager has access to safety records and long-term labor projects. The Administrative Assistant can message the entire workforce with updates in just a few clicks. We sell material and labor, and LaborChart helps us assign the right electrician with the right skills at the right time.
Cons
I wish I could list a con about LaborChart. But if I do, they'll fix it before the review is made public. If I see a possible improvement, we notify the LaborChart team, and they enhance the experience promptly.

“Easy to use for all users
Pros
The software is easy for most users. The user interface is intuitive and gives clear feedback. We can quickly send crew assignments to our staff at the end of the day. You can assign photos and other characteristics to staff members. There's enough functionality to start using the software with an hour of training and enough features to grow into it.
Cons
Any changes I've requested in the past have been made by the developers. I'm happy to see how this software is growing over time to increase functionality without increasing costs.

“Perfect way to manage manpower!
Pros
What I like most about LaborChart is that once set up, it's easy to plan and see where everyone will be. Adding more people to a job is simple with the request feature. It lays everything out nicely and makes managing manpower extremely easy!
Cons
What I like least about LaborChart is probably the app. The app is pretty good for just a normal user, which I guess that's what it's intended for. But I feel like a really good app that works similarly to the website, with many capabilities for administrators, would be great. I hope this can be a possibility soon!

“Extremely Satisfied
Pros
The interface is easy to use, with everything well-labeled for quick access. Rapid assign is a great tool for assigning large numbers to any project.
Cons
It would be nice to block out an entire day for holidays without editing each individual's schedule. Also, it would be nice to assign projects using the pre-filled form from the "people" side of the Gantt. Currently, I can only do this from the project Gantt (click on the "...", select "new assignment," and the form prepopulates the project; then, I only need to add the person and timeframe). Sometimes, projects/people don't load, but refreshing my browser usually solves this.
