“Fantastic for quick sketches and pricing

Magicplan is fantastic for both creating quick sketches and for building out estimates and pricing.

Cons

Honestly nothing I dislike about magicplan since it's the best tool out there for this.

I absolutely love this app, it makes measuring incredibly easy. The beta feature is a total game-changer, it's made my life so much simpler compared to using a tape measure or even a laser distance meter.

Cons

The beta feature struggles in low-light conditions and arched ceilings tend to create messy or inaccurate scans.

Pros

Really impressed with how easily you can create sketches of homes and have all the area calculations done for you automatically.

Cons

I can't think of a single downside. I'm happy with every part of the product.

Pros

It lets you quickly and accurately sketch buildings and then generate professional-looking reports that include photos and custom forms.

Cons

The app has occasional bugs but the positive side is that you can report them and the team usually fixes the issues.

It works directly with the app. I initially found it a bit difficult to use and unfortunately I no longer have access to the interior drawing features.

Found the app difficult to figure out and now I've lost access to the features I needed.

The app is very user-friendly. I've tried several similar products on both Mac and PC and as a primary PC user, I actually learned how to use a Mac just for this software. You can walk through a building and have it fully drawn up in just a few minutes.

Cons

I'd really love to be able to edit my floor plans directly on my Windows PC.

There's pretty much nothing I don't like about the app.

Cons

Wish it worked on my Samsung Galaxy Pro tablet. For now I have to use it on my smaller smartphone as it seems to be better optimized for iPads.

Pros

It makes finishing reports and estimates so simple. My customers are always really impressed when I present the final product to them.

Cons

Most challenging part is that the scan won't detect corners if there's furniture in the way. To get accurate measurements, I often have to move things out of the room first.

Pros

Using the LiDAR feature allows me to create an accurate floor plan in about a third of the time it used to take.

Cons

I'm still new to the app so I might be missing something but creating roofs is essential for my work and I can't figure out how to do it. We also need a much wider selection of building materials to choose from.
