I really appreciate how the software integrates the whole team, connecting the site, office, and clients. It aligns perfectly with our business model.
Cons
I wish I could enable the function to estimate labor by unit.

“Materio - The software we didn't know we needed.
Pros
What I love the most about this software is that it encompasses the entire design process. From start to finish, it allows experienced designers to blend their methods and new designers to establish theirs.
Cons
There's nothing I dislike, but having the ability to generate more functions in PDF format would definitely enhance the software's capabilities for our business.

“Loving Materio - just a few minor improvements needed!
Pros
It's clear your team understands the industry well and has done their homework, kudos to you! You've addressed a significant need in the design sector. While I can't comment on construction, for interior design, you've met our needs, and we'll be sticking with you for the long haul. The software is visual and intuitive. We know you're new and will keep evolving, but what stands out is your team's responsiveness and the prompt updates based on feedback. The design industry has long needed a comprehensive software that's easy to grasp for both clients and those who are visually oriented.
Cons
Even after months of using it, I'm still unclear about the estimates versus live projects feature and how it might be beneficial. We started using Materio midway through a large project where budget fluctuations aren't a big concern as long as they're justified. I don't need change orders, just a way to show an estimated budget and reflect any significant client decisions, like choosing a $30k sofa, directly in the total. I was anxious when we invited our client to see everything because I felt like we couldn't fully understand or see his settings. We need an easy way to send him furniture options without notifying him of each higher-priced choice. For example, if our client expects to spend $2.1 million on the project (design only, not construction), and ends up spending $1.8 million, he wants to quickly see his budget, payments to date, and remaining balance all on one page. He mentioned wanting to log in and see how much liquid cash he needs for upcoming months, so a remaining balance feature would be useful.

“Simple to use for interior designers
Pros
I like how the scope page and selections page are organized. The checklist for starting a new project is fantastic. It's helpful to organize all files and details under each line item. Clients appreciate seeing the budget breakdown on the scope page. The product clipper is great and simple to use. Clients enjoy having input through the suggestion feature and commenting on individual selections.
Cons
I'm not a fan of the open, awaiting approval, confirmed tabs. They confuse clients who expect to see an item for approval but have to wait for me to send it and notify them via email. It would be better to toggle the visibility of each selection on or off, off when still in progress and on when ready for the client to view.

“c2s Materio Review
Pros
We find Materio to be a key component for us. As a small, constantly active company, it's vital to stay updated and mobile throughout the day. Materio also offers a fantastic experience for our clients: a one-stop shop for everything they need, from bids and designs to project completion.
Cons
Materio seems to have many of the features we need, though we know they're still developing their budget tools, change order features, and so on to keep up with the evolving construction industry.

“Great overall program
Pros
It's incredibly intuitive and visually engaging. Even homeowners with minimal software experience can stay fully informed and involved in their projects without extensive or time-consuming training.
Cons
It could benefit from a more comprehensive takeoff aspect in addition to the plan marking for bidding. It's a solid base for management and bid presentation but would greatly improve with a true takeoff platform like Stack or Square.

“Materio is the Construction Management tool I've been searching for!
Pros
Materio takes a refreshingly sensible approach to construction management by prioritizing the plans (like floorplans). Unlike traditional tools that are data-centric (like spreadsheets), Materio places the plan itself at the core, with data layered over it, either literally or figuratively.
Cons
Materio is still relatively new, so we've encountered a few minor issues, but overall, we're pleased with it.

“The client is visual
Pros
This is how project specifications and client selections were meant to be displayed. Say goodbye to cumbersome spreadsheets and step into the future.
Cons
Do you need more color options for pins on the plans?

“Great Platform
Pros
From concept to construction, we can keep everything consolidated and use the software to communicate with our team, subcontractors, and homeowners. Many of our repeat clients have noted how much more approachable the platform is compared to the old program we used. The more I get acquainted with Materio, the better our team performs overall.
Cons
We've noticed a few minor hiccups, but the Materio team has been very responsive and easy to work with on improvements.
