“Reliable construction estimator

Pros

I've tried a bunch of takeoff tools over the years but this one really stands out. The whole process feels so smooth and it has seriously sped up my workflow. Honestly, it makes everything more enjoyable.

Cons

The only thing I'd change is being able to embed takeoff summaries directly into PDF drawings. That would be a nice feature but honestly it's still an amazing tool for the price.

“Accurate estimating with room for growth

The interface is really clean and easy to use. I can get the hang of all the tools and features without much of a difficulty.

“User-Centric Application

Pros

Compared to other takeoff tools I've used, this one's way more simple. It speeds up my workflow so much and makes the whole process way more fun. And when I get stuck, there's a tutorial link right in the app that guides me through everything.

Cons

Solid product for the price but I wanna see if there's a way to add the takeoff summary directly into the PDF drawing. But overall, it's a great tool!

“User friendly cloud solution

Pros

The functions and tools are really easy to use and give great visuals. I especially love the schedule updating feature and it's super easy to use. It lines up perfectly with popular software like MS Project and P6 but is way less intimidating, making it ideal for beginners.

Cons

The automated reporting features could really use some work. A real-time Gantt chart that shows project status and tasks would definitely close the gap.

The interface is really interactive which makes it great for people who aren't tech-savvy. I also love being able to share work online with my team and make real-time edits together. That collaborative feature adds a lot of value.

Cons

You can't use it when there's no internet which is a real bummer. I also wish it could upload CAD files and convert them to PDFs, that would save so much time. It's also missing some basic tools like pan and the ability to adjust measured areas. The pricing section doesn't include labor hours which is a must for any construction project. I also couldn't find a way to measure pitch, though maybe I missed it.

“Reliable Start with Room to Grow

Pros

I'm really impressed with how easy the interface is. Going through everything feels natural and the measurement and calculation tools are spot-on which is exactly what I need for construction work. Being able to import MS Project files directly has made this tool easy to integrate into our existing workflow. The export options are fantastic, whether I need Excel, PDF or MS formats, it handles them all with no issues. The online collaboration feature has been a game-changer especially since we work remotely on different project parts. Plus, the ability to read DWG and DXF files means I never have to worry about file compatibility anymore.

Cons

The biggest frustration for me is the limited file format support. While it works fine with DWG and DXF files, it doesn't handle a lot of other formats I regularly use. This creates extra steps that shouldn't be necessary. What's even more annoying is how basic the measuring tools are compared to other software. I'm missing key functions like pan and zoom, full plan view, measuring curved lines and snap/ortho features. Even worse once I've measured something, I can't go back and adjust those points which is really limiting. The Gantt chart feature for project management feels underdeveloped too. It's nice to have but it doesn't track changes or updates well. The online collaboration is decent, but if your internet's spotty or you want to work offline, you're out of luck and this can be a real issue on job sites with poor connectivity.

The interface is easy to pick up. The presentation tools are great for construction meetings and everything looks professional and polished.

While the interface is easy to use, it could definitely use some improvements, more formatting choices, better color schemes and better design options would make it way more professional and visually appealing.

It is so flexible tool. The customization options for estimate templates are awesome and I can tailor everything to fit specific project needs which saves me a ton of time. What I love most is how user-friendly it is while still being robust enough for complex construction projects. As someone who works closely with contractors and engineers, I appreciate how well it adapts to different types of work. The accuracy of estimates has been spot-on and the whole process is way smoother than other solutions I've tried.

Cons

It does come with a price tag and it took me a bit of time to get comfortable with all the features. Support options feel pretty limited when you run into issues. Since it's cloud-based, you really need a reliable internet connection to use it effectively. For more complex projects, I found the customization options somewhat restrictive and wished for more flexibility.

The Gantt bidding feature is simple to use, really accurate and fast. When you need quick and precise bidding with Gantt charts, it holds its own against MS Project and Primavera P6. I'd definitely recommend this to any project manager keeping track of their project's progress. The construction estimation tool is really smooth and easy to use, you just need to update the pricing to match current market trends.

Cons

I can't really find any major downsides, this tool has been reliable for handling large-scale project estimates and keeping costs in check.

This tool's great for construction takeoffs. I've thoroughly tested this on-screen takeoff app across all types of drawings, piling, drainage, concrete structures, earthwork and pavements. The interface is flexible, making complex measurements feel easy. What really stands out is how easy it is to share project updates via email and export everything to Excel or PDF. The takeoff sheets and cost estimates are highly customizable, saving me tons of time during bid prep. Uploading drawings is easy with the drag-and-drop feature and the support manual is easy to use whenever I need help.

Cons

There are a few areas where this tool could use some improvement. First, it really needs basic undo and redo functionality with standard shortcuts like Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+R to make editing smoother. I also ran into this issue where deleting a property from the drawing doesn't automatically remove it from the takeoff table, you have to manually clean it up. The measurement tools could be way smarter especially when it comes to reading areas from tabulated data for cut and fill calculations. Adding legend options would help clarify what different areas and colors mean in the drawings. One major thing I noticed is that you can't export drawings as PDFs which is a basic feature that should definitely be available.

Overall, it's comprehensive yet easy to use which has definitely saved me both time and money on construction projects.

It really needs some upgrades. It could use AUTOCAD file uploads, better measuring tools (like pan/zoom, curvilinear lines), snap and ortho functions and the ability to edit points after measuring. Also, it's missing options to hide/show dimensions and measurement legends on plans, plus being able to open deductions in Wall Area measurements.

Pros

The takeoff functionality is incredibly easy to use which makes my job so much simpler. When field crews need specific measurements or quantities for project sections, I can get the data in seconds. Once you dial in your ruler settings, the accuracy is spot-on and I don't waste time second-guessing my calculations. I haven't explored the pricing tools or Gantt charts yet but the core features work great.

Cons

The measurement tools don't let you backspace while you're actively measuring something. You can adjust polygons and length measurements after you've finished but I'd really like the option to make corrections mid-measurement instead of having to finish everything first.

I really appreciate the measurement tools for planning and tracking materials. The fact that it works smoothly with Excel is a huge plus for our workflow.

Cons

I can't copy existing measurement structures with their constants and material descriptions, so I end up rewriting everything from scratch for similar measurements which wastes a ton of time. The on-plan measurement could be more accurate if it recognized dimension corners and endpoints better. One thing that really bugs me is when I accidentally capture a point and try to undo just a few steps, it cancels the entire measurement instead. Also, the Gantt chart and other features need some major improvements.

I like that several team members can work on the same price breakdown at once and update it in real-time. This feature really makes it a strong tool for estimates.

Cons

The estimating team didn't adopt it as much as I hoped, so it made it harder for me to get more experience with the software.
