Pros
It really lives up to its reputation as a full ERP solution. It checks all the boxes for project management, accounting and payroll. Our IT team can easily create custom reports based on what we need.
Cons
Would have loved a more detailed HRIS system. The data you put into the system is exactly what you get out. If you're not using all features, you'll miss out on valuable insights. I also wish there was an option for users to create reports without always relying on IT.

Pros
The Project Management module is amazing for keeping everything updated in real time. From project reviews to timelines, it covers it all. I'd recommend it to medium and large companies for sure.
Cons
The price is definitely on the higher side and it takes some solid training to really get the best results from this software.

Pros
Penta does an awesome job of integrating pretty much everything you need for project management into the Accounting software with the exception of scheduling. It makes everything flow together so much smoother.
Cons
The one area I think still needs some work is integrating Operations. We bought this software to replace Expedition which the Operations team was using but it's not quite there yet.

Pros
It is so easy to use. I never feel lost with the new setup tools and this software is consistent across products with how they label and organize things. Plus, they've always been great about working with us to develop new features or upgrades as we need them.
Cons
My only real issue with PENTA is that it hasn't always kept up with newer technologies. For example service management on tablets isn't available yet but I know it's coming in the next upgrade which will be a huge help for us.

Pros
This software is very powerful and works well for us. The team behind it is super experienced and really knows the industry inside and out.
Cons
The current interface feels a bit outdated. It's usable but it really could use an update to make it more consistent and work well across both PC and mobile.

The transition from our old system to Penta was so smooth, thanks to the vendor. They were incredibly professional and easy to work with and the product itself has been a huge help for our business.

My favorite part is how easy it is to quickly generate checks. We have a lot of union employees that need to be paid on the spot and this software makes that process so much easier. Also the number of report options is a huge plus.
Cons
We still need to improve certified payroll reports. I like that we can choose to show just the last four digits of social security numbers or exclude addresses. However, I run into issues when a union worker moves to a different area as it messes up the report.

We operate in several different construction industries and this tool has the flexibility to meet the needs of each one. Whether its telecommunication, electrical contracting or private networks, the softwares versatility allows us to handle job costing and service management in a way that works for each department.
Cons
It used to be tough to get data out of PENTA electronically. But they listened to its users and added a new feature that lets us download information into Excel. It's definitely made things easier for us.

This is an integrated system and it's not hard to get the hang of. It handles multiple companies and there's always someone in Customer Support to help if any issues pop up. You can also customize it to suit your needs. They're always adding new features based on customer feedback and the initial training is really thorough before getting started.

It would be really helpful if I could copy and paste entries directly from Excel into PENTA.
