“Impressed with this software

Pros

The software is completely error free meaning it won't crash or change while you're using it.

Cons

You can't make changes after sending a request unless the request is still open. To adjust anything, you first need to open the request.

It really helps with cost management letting you see exactly how much you're saving on a project.

Cons

One thing I didn't like about BuildSmart was how it integrates with CCS. I found it pretty hard to use.

I love how it integrates with CCS Candy and how well it fits the needs of the construction industry, no matter the size of the company or contracts.

Cons

It's a bit expensive but you have to consider the benefits the system offers.

The costing reports give a clear breakdown of where you're making or losing money on the contracts.

It sometimes logs you out without you knowing so you keep working only to realize later that none of your entries were saved.

In comparison to other accounting and payroll tools Ive used, such as Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks, Pastel, Simple Pay, and VIP, the difference isnt huge

Cons

There are just way too many options to choose from like users, roles, settings and so on. It's not that userfriendly because of this. The financial and custom reports also need improvement.

The connection between Buildsmart and Candy allows us to track project costs in real time showing when a project is going over budget.

I can't fully take advantage of all the features.

It now helps us track requisitions to orders and has set up systems to ensure payments are made on time. It also helps track order deliveries making things easier and reducing work for our stores. Procurement has become more manageable as we can categorize costs by code making it easier to analyze and match costs with specific trades in Candy.

Cons

BuildSmart has multiple categories like procurement, accounting and payroll administration. I only have access to procurement, so Im kind of limited in seeing how all three categories work together.

“Easiest system Ive ever used!

The system is quick, easy to use and provides useful reports. We consistently meet our month end deadlines with ease.

Cons

There's a mobile app but I dont like that i need an internet access to use it.

I like that it combines many functions into one app and once you get used to it, processing payments is simple.

It's pretty tough to use and the only way to figure it out is by taking a paid course. The info would be much easier to follow in video format on YouTube instead of those lengthy PDFs.

It's easy to use, offers great control and the support is always there when you need it. Well trained and helpful!

The system has occasional bugs especially with ad hoc tasks.

What I really like about Build Smart is how it gives real time financial updates for both the project and the business. Its connection with CCS ensures that the data is more accurate and reduces mistakes that could mess up the reports.

Cons

I don't have too many complaints. With enough training, you get faster at tasks. But the program can get slow sometimes and it logs you out forcing you to log in repeatedly.

This tool does a great job with cost management offering a complete look at project costs from estimation and budgeting to tracking actual spending. This all in one approach makes it easier to control costs and keep an eye on the finances.

Cons

The cost of RIB BuildSmart is high especially for smaller construction companies considering all the features it offers.

Since it's designed for construction, its perfect for creating cost reports and makes planning and evaluation a lot easier.

Cons

Setting it up can take time which is especially a problem if you don't have dedicated time for it. Understanding the whole process flow can be a bit tricky.

I love how easy it is to use the software, I can get my job done quickly and all my data is saved consistently. Even if I lose my device, I can easily recover everything.

You can't undo certain actions without admin permissions.
