“Decent software”
Pros
The program processed information really fast and displayed it in a clear table format. Plus, it didn't need an internet connection.
Cons
I found reports hard to customize and merging and connecting data across modules was a challenge.

“Powerful platform”
Pros
We found the reporting features really helpful for our company in the past six months. We can analyze and track pretty much anything we need.
Cons
The only downside might be that it's a bit outdated but since it integrates well with other software we use, we will keep using it.

“Increased our Efficiency”
Pros
We moved from Viewpoint to Sage and we found Sage much easier to use for our business. Its more userfriendly and makes it easier to customize documents and contracts.
Cons
Getting everything set up with our standard documents took a bit longer than expected but it was easier than the process we had with our previous program.

“A Must Have tool for construction industry”
Pros
The software is really easy to use. When I first tried Sage years ago, it was new in the construction industry and it completely outperformed the software we were using. It's only gotten better with time.
Cons
The initial setup wasn't as smooth as I hoped but the reports are great. However customizing certain items like rails was a bit tricky. We usually just run several reports to get the numbers we need.

“A really Decent tool!”
Pros
It's great to have a software that multiple departments across our construction company can use, from payroll to estimating. The training and setup were smooth. The Info Assistant module is a great feature because you can generate reports for any module without taking up a license.
Cons
It can be tricky sometimes to run inquiries and generate reports. I often have trouble finding exactly what I'm looking for. Also, the printouts look outdated like something from the '80s. It would be much better if the software was cloud based.

“I Use it for purchasing”
Pros
I love how I can keep track of all my vendors and purchases in one place. I find it very useful for purchasing.
Cons
If the computer is not shut down before leaving for the day and I try to log back into Sage the next day, it logs me out and I have to restart the whole system. It's really frustrating and everyone else I work with has the same problem.

“Been going downhill lately”
Pros
Sage 300 did most of what we needed for both accounting and payroll management. The system has lots of third party support with many additional programs available for things like document control, time collection and reporting. Sage 300 CRE is also flexible enough that we could customize it to fit our business. Most of the modules allow data to be imported from CSV files which made transferring data between systems much easier, especially with backup documents.
Cons
One of the biggest issues we encountered was the slow performance of the system. Even with good hardware, some reports and processes would take forever to run. Despite receiving multiple suggestions from customer support, nothing ever seemed to fix the problem. Over time Sage 300 CRE started feeling outdated with a design that looked straight out of the early 2000s. Extracting data from Sage was also a nightmare as the built in export options are too limited and using ODBC drivers can confuse even the tech savvy. Setting up Sage 300 CRE as a client server application was a headache and it usually took our IT team an entire evening to update both the server and each workstation. Plus, accessing Sage outside of the company's network was pretty much impossible.

Pros

Cons
Sage is really picky when it comes to how you input data. It's not as easy to use as other software I've worked with before. Fixing mistakes can be a real pain.

“Ideal for tracking jobs, invoices, Pos”
Pros
In my role, I mostly work with job cost and accounts receivable. I love how easy it is to set up a job and track all expenses related to it. I can quickly find a job by using the job cost feature, enter invoices and add direct costs etc.
Cons
I enjoy using Sage but there's one major problem. Since we only have one user at a time, if I'm working on job cost and someone else tries to log in without realizing I'm already using it, it messes up the system. I can't save my work, so I have to redo everything from scratch.

What stands out for me is how it makes it super easy for users like me in the construction and real estate sectors to manage projects and deliver them on time.
