I think it could offer more scheduling options, like creating presets for specific types of bulletins, such as default background settings for uploaded images.

Pros

The web interface lets me manage the signage from anywhere, which is super convenient. The feature to set start and end dates for bulletins is really helpful. I can schedule them in advance and not worry about them after that. Being able to integrate calendar feeds from websites is another great feature. And, using Apple TVs along with JAMF device management software helps me quickly set up a sign and ensures the Apple TV stays locked to just the Carousel app, so no one can alter the display.

Cons

Can't show Youtube videos when using Apple TV for signage, but that limitation is due to Apple itself, not Carousel.

We use this software for our digital signage in the company, and it's so easy to use. Our team adapts to the platform quickly without much training.

There's not much I dislike. Just that I'd love to see Carousel add more cool features and modern templates for content creation.

I've heard that additional player licenses must be bought in bundles of 5 or 10, which can be limiting if you just need a few more signs. Offering individual sign additions would make the product more flexible and better overall.

Creating and scheduling bulletins is fast and easy. This software makes it a quick process, but if you want to take the time to craft detailed content, that's also possible.

Cons

I didn't like the look of my channel initially but after helping a colleague set up a new one, I discovered the default layouts and started using them. However updating my templates has been time-consuming. It may be user error but the setup process has been challenging.

Carousel's cloud-based platform makes it simple to manage from any device, anywhere. The content is cached on the displays, so they continue to work even if the internet goes down. This tool's design editor is user-friendly. The newest version supports ChromeBox, so you can turn any device into a sign using free Chrome OS Flex. We've been using Carousel for almost 10 years with over 40 signs across 8 schools, and we love it.

Cons

Functionally, it meets all our needs. It would be nice if we could play Google Slides directly, but other than that, the only downside is the rising price, which is tough for schools with tight budgets. Still, the value is there.

Pros

Once configured and running, this tool is very stable. Any issues we've had were due to hardware players going offline, not Carousel's service. Support is friendly, knowledgeable, and fast.

Cons

Our use case is simple, just full-screen videos on multiple TVs 24/7. The admin dashboard feels overly complicated for this purpose. Zones, channels, hubs, etc are a bit much for our needs. A simpler choose device > choose content experience would be much appreciated.

Pros

It meets all our community's needs with features like user role management, CAP EAS integration, active directory/SAML integration, unlimited user accounts, a clean user interface, continuous software updates, and integration with various hardware.

Cons

There's not much to dislike, though the lack of social media integration is mainly due to constant changes in the platforms themselves. Any other minor issues have mostly been addressed through feature requests that Carousel has implemented.
