“Loved the easiness of docstar
Pros
I appreciate the customization options in the workflow builder, the OCR scanning functionality, and how easy it is to edit data. These features make the overall experience much more efficient.
Cons
Occasionally, the Client Service requires repair or reinstallation. Also I think the Office Integration module must have an active license on the server for proper functioning.

“It is a comprehensive CMS
Pros
DocStar ECM is often seen as a comprehensive solution for enterprise content management, offering a variety of features for effective document management and workflow automation. From my experience, these are some aspects I find particularly useful: Document organization and retrieval: I really value the strong document organization capabilities of DocStar ECM. The platform has intuitive tools that allow me to categorize, index and search documents with ease, making it much simpler to find and retrieve specific files when needed. I can also assign metadata, tags, and keywords to documents, which allows for fast and accurate retrieval. Workflow automation and collaboration: The platform's powerful workflow automation features are another major benefit. I can easily design and automate workflows that route documents, assign tasks, and encourage seamless collaboration among my team. This automation reduces manual work, increases productivity and ensures that document processing remains efficient and consistent. Document version control: I also find the version control feature valuable in keeping track of document changes. However I've had challenges with limited customization, integration problems and some concerns regarding performance and scalability.
Cons
DocStar ECM offers a wide range of features for document management, but I've encountered some limitations in terms of customization and flexibility. Customizing workflows or configuring metadata fields can be somewhat restrictive and not as intuitive as I would like. Additionally, I've faced challenges when trying to integrate the platform with specific business applications or systems. These integration issues often arise from compatibility problems, customization needs, or technical complexities, which can lead to delays and extra effort. Furthermore, when handling large volumes of documents or heavy workloads, I've noticed performance issues, such as slower search or retrieval times, delays in workflow processing, and overall sluggish system responsiveness.

“Great software just a bit pricey
Pros
This software is an efficient and reliable enterprise content management tool that has helped me streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
Cons
The cost of the software can be quite high, particularly for smaller businesses, and learning how to use it can be challenging, especially for users unfamiliar with enterprise content management systems. Additionally, while the software includes many useful features, some businesses might find that certain features aren't particularly relevant to their needs.

“Very flexibles and easy to use
Pros
Overall DocStar ECM is an easy to use and efficient enterprise content management system. It's an excellent tool for streamlining document processes, and I especially like the ability to set up automated workflows to improve efficiency. There are a few drawbacks, such as slower performance and challenges with customization but these issues are relatively minor and can be easily addressed.
Cons
Even though the user interface is generally easy to use, the software can occasionally be slow, and customizing it to suit specific workflows might be challenging. Customer support is also sometimes slow and not as helpful as it could be.

“Exceptional customer support
Pros
The support team has been extremely helpful whenever I've needed assistance.
Cons
I wish it could handle OCR for Accounts Payable as well. While I use it for Accounts Receivable, which works great, I'd love to have similar functionality for Accounts Payable.

“Amazing tool for content management
Pros
I've had a very positive experience with this system. It has proven to be an effective and reliable tool for my business.
Cons
I wasn't employed here when DocStar was first implemented, but I do appreciate how easy it is to access past reports and documents. To ensure consistency, proper training for users is necessary so they save things in the right way.
