What really stands out to me about Portfoliobox is how simple it is to get started with. Everything just makes sense and it does not take much time to figure things out.

Cons

It would be great if there were a few more free features available since I feel like that would encourage users to upgrade to the pro version.

In my experience Portfoliobox comes packed with useful features. The clean design makes building and managing your portfolio feel effortless. Also I love being able to personalize the look of my site as it really helps showcase my unique style. Plus the responsive layouts look great on phones and tablets which is a big win.

Cons

One thing that bothers me a bit is the limited selection of templates compared to other sites. There just are not as many designs to pick from. Plus if you are not very tech savvy, figuring everything out can take a little more effort than I expected.

The global styling saves me a lot of setup time too. There is solid SEO support which is perfect for someone like me who is new to that. You know what is the best part? I have not needed to touch a single line of code but my site still looks exactly how I imagined. And the customer service is responsive and it has become so easy to keep my site updated with new work.

Cons

Sometimes the autosave acts a little weird on different devices though it works perfectly fine on a desktop browser. I do wish editing things like titles could be quicker without so many clicks. Still I am genuinely impressed with how often they roll out updates. It feels like the team actually cares and keeps improving unlike those big companies where you are just another user.

The one thing we really wish is that it had is a mobile app where we could add or edit products right from our phones. Since we are often working from our car while doing deliveries having that feature would be quite handy.

Something that is not ideal with it is its pretty basic e commerce features. Also it is awesome for showing off your work but if you are planning to sell things directly, it might not be enough. Compared to other store focused platforms I find it a bit limited. But honestly if you are mainly showcasing your portfolio and not running a full shop, it is not a huge deal.

I feel like when you want to step outside the provided templates you hit a wall. Also compared to other cheaper options like WordPress.org, there is not a huge community around it for help and tips.

And as someone who does not know anything about coding, I was relieved to find how simple it was to get my site up. I have not had a single issue that required me to contact support either.

Honestly I cannot think of anything major to complain about. I have not even needed to reach out to customer support yet. But yeah the price does lean towards the medium to high range. Thankfully they do offer a student discount which is a huge help if you are on a tight budget.
