Pros

The versatility of this tool makes it suitable for both professional and personal use. It stays up to date which is very important for us as technology continues to advance at a rapid pace.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve but I think it is essential for maximizing user flexibility. I was pleased to see continuous improvements in word processing which reduces the need for other programs.

It is very fast and does not require a subscription unlike Adobe which I like the most about it.

Its a bit tough to get hang of it and the one time cost is also a little high too.

Quark is simple to use with an intuitive interface. Its also beginner friendly, and its features keep expanding, giving us more options as time goes on

I used to work with an older version of it that had a lot of key combinations. I cannot seem to use them all in the 2024/2025 version and I am not sure if that's because of the new version or some computer settings.

I love how even if you are a beginner, you can still complete a project. And while it might not be perfect it is functional.

Well I wish there was a section that listed all the shortcuts.

This software is simple and secure. Plus I find it perfect for creating books and printed flyers.

The program is reliable and the new features are easy to use but I noticed customer support is lacking.

I have been using quark for over 30 years and the level of text refinement it offers is outstanding.

It is a bit frustrating that I cannot increase the leading by just 1/10th of a point.

Everything seems to be in a dark theme which I am not used to.

I am a user of Quark for over a decade and I am still very satisfied. I tried other products briefly but as a long time user I always end up coming back.

Cons

The only downside is the price otherwise I would say it is top notch software with nearly unlimited possibilities.

The software is fast and simple to use. I can quickly put together a project and making changes is effortless.

Not many people I work with use it so collaborating with others can sometimes be challenging.

“Its simply the best

Pros

Been using this since its launch in the late 80s and this version is by far the best. Also it is incredibly user friendly, almost a standalone app with everything you need. My favorite feature is the export function as I can create PDFs and PNGs directly from the app so I no longer need to use the old distiller.

Cons

One thing I do not like about it is that when I export a PDF to my desktop for a client, the PDF icon does not always render properly especially when there are gradients. Clients sometimes think the file is corrupted because of the icon though the file itself is fine. I had this issue checked with it and they suggested it might be an OS problem, so it might not actually be an issue with the software itself.

Pros

This tool is very simple to learn and after just a short time getting familiar with it, I can create stunning pages even without much graphic design experience.

Cons

I have never been able to get the tables feature to work so I end up creating them manually.
