“Challenging to use and navigate”
Pros
It's fairly stable but that's about it.
Cons
Compared to many other CMS options, this one isn't easy to implement and its complexity can be overwhelming. The steep learning curve for custom coding also makes it challenging for those who want to personalize it.

“Not the best”
Pros
It's true that it's open source and has a large community of programmers but it's still lacking some basic functionality.
Cons
It's difficult to learn quickly. I would recommend it to people with more experience but not beginners.

“A thorough and reliable CMS solution”
Pros
I really appreciate the segmentation of access rights for contributors, also it offers easy integration of plugins, and fairly user-friendly filing plan.

The rigidity when it comes to modifying the CSS and the user interface can be frustrating as it's not very user friendly.

“It gets things done”
Pros
Typo3 is a very secure CMS, which is a deciding factor for many. It makes creating a website simple even for those without coding knowledge.
Cons
User interface isn't the most suitable and the user experience could definitely use some improvement. Typo3 could really benefit from a refresh, as some problems could have been solved much more easily with other CMSs on the market.

“Significant potential with considerable effort”
Pros
What I like most about Typo3 is its flexibility and possibilities. It's more than just a CMS; it's more like a CMF. It's really great but definitely not easy to use and not for everyone.
Cons
I spent a lot of time doing things with Typo3 that are much easier to implement in other apps. The user interface, user experience and technical documentation are all major issues for me.

“It is flexible yet somehow hard to use”
Pros
I liked how it gave me the freedom to create pages quickly and easily. It's also great for managing multi brand and multi language websites, adaptable to any kind of business.
Cons
The UX is unappealing and it's hard to use and explain to colleagues who aren't tech savvy. This caused some fear of using the platform. The small Typo3 community also makes it difficult to find help online.

“A highly customizable CMS offering top-tier security”
Pros
Typo3's easy customization functionality makes it the best CMS for building websites. It's free, open source and highly secure compared to other CMS options.
Cons
While I like all the features, this CMS can be quite costly for small business owners. The pricing plans could be more cost effective and it requires a skilled person with technical knowledge to use it properly.

“The best enterprise-level CMS but only for developers”
Pros
In the 17+ years I've used this software, I've built my company around it. When a client asks for custom features, I don't even hesitate, the answer is always YES. It's more powerful, secure, and customizable than other CMSs and its open-source nature allows for endless possibilities. It can be simplified for small businesses or expanded for corporate clients.
Cons
Being a German program, most support is in a different language. Also upgrades often ignore extension developers, forcing them to redo their extensions. The recent sweeping changes have made many extensions incompatible, leading to significant costs for companies to build their own. The proprietary TYPOscript language also deters many people from using it. Additionally, frontend editing, which is popular with platforms like Wix and Squarespace, has taken a back seat since version 8, as many of the extensions are now obsolete due to the upgrades.
