“Amazing all-in-one platform”

Pros

This platform has been a huge help. I set it up for my organization and my seniors and everyone has been really happy with how useful this tool is.

Cons

It would be better if the pricing were lower and the validity period for each subscription were extended. It really works as a one-stop solution for any organization since we can create SOPs with it and keep everything in one place.

“content-rich sites that win teams over”

Pros

After building 7 HelpSites, I've seen how user-friendly it becomes once you actually get in there and start putting together a content-rich site. That isn't immediately obvious at first but it really clicks during use. The 30-day trial made a big difference when it came to getting team buy-in as well. At one company meeting, our president decided to test it by searching for one of the more unusual support questions we'd received and within seconds the answer came up. He was instantly sold on it and our sales team started using it in presentations as a major selling point. I've also used it to create marketing sites that make it simple to answer prospect questions. Once they open the link, they don't just get the answer they were looking for, they also see additional helpful content that supports the overall decision-making process.

Cons

Something that would help is having more real examples available especially for proof-of-concept purposes. It would also be nice to see a community of users who are willing to share the creative ways they've built and used their HelpSites.

“Does what it promises”

Pros

Its quite simple to handle, it does what it promises and it's been really useful for training our team.

Cons

At the beginning there is a bit of setup involved and the search optimization could definitely be improved.

“polished templates”

Pros

Getting a professional-looking help center up and running doesn't take much effort with this platform even if you don't have much technical experience. The drag-and-drop builder is simple and the customizable templates make it quick to set up and launch without much hassle.

Cons

There is some room for customization but the design options feel a bit limited when compared with more advanced help desk platforms. That can be frustrating for businesses that need stricter branding control or want a more customized overall appearance.

“Competitive price”

Pros

It delivers exactly what we need and comes at a very competitive price.

Cons

Down the line I'd like the option to self-host once we reach a certain scale. It's not a big issue for us at the moment but if we eventually outgrow HelpSite, having the ability to run it on our own servers would be ideal.

“fast setup”

Pros

Getting this up and running was quick and simple once the initial setup was done. It sends a lot of my clients to the knowledge base FAQs instead of having them submit the contact form which saves me from answering the same or very similar questions over and over. I also appreciate being able to create multiple custom categories since it keeps client FAQs better organized and makes navigation easier.

Cons

The FAQ search based on the subject line works fairly well most of the time but with certain keywords or phrases it brings up too many results which can be confusing for less experienced clients. It also used to include AI text generation but that seems to be non-working right now which is disappointing because it used to save me a lot of time. I really hope they add it back.

“Quick setup and top usability”

Pros

The set up is not complicated and its usability is honestly among the best available in the market.

Cons

After using it for more than a year, I still haven't come across anything I would point to as a downside.

“User-friendly for everyone”

Pros

Right from the start, the site has been very simple to use which means just about anyone in the company can work with it. That applies to both our clients and our employees especially the team members who add content to it every day.

Cons

The customization options could be a bit stronger but I'm hoping future updates will improve that.

We found it user friendly and it's been just as manageable to maintain and adjust whenever needed.

Cons

The interface isn't especially modern or polished so it could definitely use some improvement.

“Helped us launch our app”

Pros

Getting a knowledge base in place with it made it possible to launch our app with a basic FAQ section without needing the development team to build custom pages in Flutter and the fact that it was free made it even better.

Cons

I'd really like to see a higher article limit on the free plan for the HelpSite knowledge base. Right now it caps out at 25 articles and it would be much more useful if that limit were closer to 50 or even 100. It's also disappointing that the free plan doesn't include even basic customization options.

As someone who really enjoys SaaS tools, I appreciate that it is cloud-based because it adds both convenience and room to scale as needed.

“simple to get the hang of”

Pros

The platform is so simple to use. As a new employee, I barely needed any ramp-up time to understand how our business uses the tool which made the whole onboarding process much easier.

Cons

Nothing to point out right now. My experience so far has matched expectations completely.

“Extensive set of features”

Pros

It was incredibly simple and setting everything up didn't take much effort at all. It has all the features you actually need without being cluttered with extras that just get in the way.

Cons

I can't think of any real downsides. It feels pretty unique in what it offers. There are alternatives like WordPress but HelpSite is the obvious choice for better value and a stronger feature set.
