“Flexible favorites and feedback”
Pros
Favorites feature and the feedback options have been a big win for us. There's a ton of customization built in and it really feels like the platform can be customized to fit the needs of just about any company.
Cons
Permissions can be tricky to manage at times and the limited number of admin licenses creates real challenges. Some team members can't help users or handle parts of their day-to-day responsibilities because there simply aren't enough admin licenses available.

“Needs better guidance”
Pros
Widgets are a nice part of the software. I'd really like to see more widget choices added and I think a notepad-style feature would be a very useful addition.
Cons
Spell check and grammar check feel urgently missing. It's also annoying to get a popup asking whether I want to save while I'm working because if I choose save, I lose my place. That gets frustrating fast. The Scenario feature also needs some way to count the number of steps since there's a threshold involved. On top of that, nothing about Lighthouse has felt simple to me and I still don't feel confident about how to use some of the features effectively.

“smart automation”
Pros
After getting familiar with the different sections and setting everything up, managing content feels much more effortless than RoboHelp. Updating existing documentation is fast and convenient which saves a lot of time. Being able to let a CM add valid times for an article online is a huge benefit for me since there's no need to publish anymore. Creating links is incredibly simple, images are just as easy and KMNS includes a lot of helpful automation throughout.
Cons
At the beginning it felt like there were quite a few areas to learn. Looking back, we were probably too eager to push ahead and should have spent more time understanding the overall layout and process. That ended up creating some extra work on our side though it was definitely a lesson learned. One change I'd really like to see is giving a CM the ability to drag rows into place within the FAQ table instead of moving them one row at a time. When working with alphabetical tables that run A-Z, it becomes frustrating to add a row at the bottom and then have to keep shifting it upward several rows.

“Very useful with plenty of options”
Pros
It's very user-friendly and really useful. The software offers a lot of options which makes it versatile for different needs.
Cons
From an admin perspective there are too many options involved when setting up an item so the process can feel overly detailed.

“convenient UX and smart organization”
Pros
Using this software the UX/UI stands out the most. It's very user-friendly whether you're working as an editor or using it on the front end. The way it handles groups and user organization is smart and well designed and the CRM integration makes it a great basic tool for agents.
Cons
The homepage could definitely offer more options.

“Powerful feedback tool”
Pros
Platform feels easy for both end users and content managers. The overall structure, templates, interface and built-in features are simple to work with which made adoption much easier. Our IT support team has also been fantastic throughout the move from the old system to the new one. I also really value the reporting capabilities because they give us a much better picture of how our information is being used, or where it is not being used at all. The feedback feature has been especially valuable and has completely changed the way we handle content updates.
Cons
One thing I still wish was better is the ability for content managers to communicate directly with the person who submitted feedback instead of having to switch over to email for follow-up questions or to share screenshots. It would also help if content managers could close feedback themselves. Another improvement would be letting submitters select a category or user group when sending feedback so multiple content managers can sort, filter and find the items relevant to them more easily. On the technical side, setting up adSync, SAML and SFTP has been challenging for our organization.

“great admin tool”
Pros
Right from the start the platform felt very user-friendly and simple for both regular users and admins. The search engine works a lot like Google so people only needed minimal training to get comfortable with it. On the admin side the interface is easy enough that templates can be created and updated without needing extra support. It also includes an admin user manual directly in the platform which has been really helpful.
Cons
Since we're a construction company, most of our users access knowledge on mobile phones. In version 5.5 the mobile experience is not at the same level as on PC though we're expecting version 6.0 to address that. We also ran into a few issues while implementing SSO but in the end we got it working.

“Custom templates”
Pros
Setting up new items is really convenient thanks to the fully customizable templates. The full Hebrew support makes it an excellent fit for Israeli users and GetAnswer helps people find the information they need quickly without having to scroll through a long list of results.
Cons
Support for online tests is lacking especially since Google Forms offers better value at no cost. The videos section is only partially supported and the home page also has a fairly limited selection of widgets.

“Clean interface”
Pros
From the moment I opened the interface, it was clear how to use the basic features of the platform. The layout feels friendly and practical, without unnecessary elements distracting your attention. Navigation is simple and creating subjects, topics and templates is easy. You can also add tags which makes browsing and searching much more convenient. Another nice advantage is that the system works in multiple languages.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues while using it.

“Google-like search and branded design”
Pros
Searching feels a lot like using Google so it's very simple and quick to use. The UI is user-friendly overall and the design has been customized to match our company branding in a way that we're very happy with.
Cons
The main limitation is that the graphical interface could be more flexible. Other than that, I don't really have any additional issues to mention, the system works fine overall.

“Powerful features”
Pros
Once we expanded our search for content management systems and landed on Lighthouse, I was struck by how many capabilities it offered that I hadn't seen elsewhere. A few standout examples are aligned feedback tools, Instant Answer for both public self-service and internal use, multiple permission-based landing pages, fully customizable landing pages, powerful answer trees, clean comparison charts and content templates. Everything listed above is very user-friendly. If you go in with a great strategy before loading your content the templates really help make content easy to find and quick to navigate. The landing page customization is especially important for my company. Our clients expect a very high design standard and my developers are able to do just about anything they need within this platform to meet those expectations. The answer trees are probably one of the most exciting parts of Lighthouse for me. On other platforms, we had to build these manually by linking one document to another which was time-consuming, tedious and hard to maintain once everything was in place. Lighthouse completely changed that. The answer trees are dynamic so you can branch paths, add new ones, link to external sources and even turn sections of the tree into instant answers. Honestly they're even fun to build which might be a little nerdy to admit. When the implementation is planned out strategically and all these features are used properly, Lighthouse really makes everyone's job easier.
Cons
From the admin side setting up permissions comes with a pretty steep learning curve. That's both a strength and a drawback. Lighthouse offers very advanced and flexible permission settings which means companies can create almost any kind of access structure they need. At the same time, that level of flexibility also adds complexity. Once you understand how it works, it does start to feel logical. I'd recommend having two or three people within the company become the go-to experts for managing permissions and administration.

“helpful review workflow”
Pros
Having review tools built in, along with the option to send items straight to content management, has been really useful. It keeps me up to date with what management is doing and that makes the overall workflow much easier to handle.
Cons
Feature that can be frustrating is the search option. At times it feels a bit complicated and I have to change the keyword to get a better result. Still, when the right search options are selected, it performs very well.

“simple templates”
Pros
System feels simple to work with. It's user-friendly the templates can be adjusted to fit the user's needs and updating information for customers and editors is easy.
Cons
Our current search engine sometimes pulls up documents that don't actually match the search and the data analysis reports could be more detailed.

“Useful knowledge sharing platform”
Pros
Using it is easy and it does a really good job of supporting knowledge management across the entire organization. It also helps keep everyone aligned at the same professional level.
Cons
I'd still like to see a bit more flexibility in pattern design, along with more options for items and patterns. The search function could also be improved a little.

“quick multi-site search power”
Pros
It handles a wide range of functions really well, connecting to different sites, supporting many item types and keeping everything fast. The biggest advantage though, is the search model which works a lot like Google search and makes finding things very convenient.
Cons
Haven't run into any downsides so far.
