Even though I've only used it for a short time, I'm honestly amazed at how easy it is to use. The application even generates reports for you which has been really functional for our needs.

Apptega has been a great help in reminding us about our ISO 27001 tasks. It sends email alerts to our ticketing system, keeping everything on track.

Cons

The setup was a little confusing at first, a bit clunky and I wasn't sure where to go. But once I figured it out, everything worked out fine and now it's going great.

“Excellent program tracking tool for all users, not just tech experts

Pros

This product has been one of the most satisfying investments for our cybersecurity program. It allows us to track risk and compliance via industry standard frameworks like NIST CSF, PCI DSS, CIS v7, HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA. New features like cross framework mapping let us start small and expand without losing information. It's intuitive and easy to use, to the point where even executive assistants can enter data and run reports for business leaders. The team is fantastic and their no pressure approach makes working with them so enjoyable. They genuinely want to meet your needs today and in the future.

Cons

The only con I can think of is that it is still a young company so the product still has some maturing to do (like partial SSO, no open API yet and more flexible reporting/visualization). But they have a solid roadmap, they are transparent about it and they're quick to release features. While it doesn't compete with the big players yet, that's also a benefit since it isn't bogged down with unnecessary features that you'll never use. Plus they are agile, so they implement feature requests fairly quickly.

Pros

Apptega has made it so easy to keep track of HIPAA/PCI security compliance. It helps manage individual policies, with dashboards that show progress toward compliance, including numerical scores. The ability to collapse overlapping policies for simpler reporting is also a great feature.

Cons

It was a little overwhelming at first because of all the bells and whistles but once I got the hang of it, navigating was easy. Very feature rich!

The team at Apptega has been extremely supportive of our compliance goals. They take a lot of feedback into consideration and the risk rating system allows us to approach compliance based on actual risk. The task system and reporting features are also really robust.

Cons

It would be nice to have integrations with some of our other tools like JIRA, to streamline workflows.

This software makes it super easy to understand compliance requirements, document them and track our progress. I love the dashboard and reporting capabilities and the wide range of frameworks available. The team has also been responsive, rolling out new features like policy templates and cross-framework mapping in a timely manner.

Cons

So far I have only seen opportunities for improvement, no glaring gaps in the product.

Pros

The interface of Apptega is not overwhelming at all. There are many compliance standards available at your fingertips and it's easy to integrate as you shape up your security program. The visualization features are really useful and their customer support is always approachable and responsive.

Cons

I'd like to see faster availability of upcoming features. Also an auto save feature would be really helpful!

“It has made handling compliance much easier

Pros

As a health IT company, we had to comply with HIPAA and other security measures. It has made it so much easier to meet our regulatory requirements and streamline our ongoing monitoring and review. Their customer support has been incredibly responsive, helping us set up and answer any questions we had.

Cons

I'm still figuring out the best workflow for documenting ongoing compliance activities, like noting that our daily malware scans are clean. I have spoken to Apptega and they're working with me to capture ongoing reviews in a way that doesn't take up too much time.

Finally we can clearly see where we are in the compliance process against multiple standards which has been really helpful.

Keep in mind, you still have to put in the work to get your security and compliance processes in order.

Pros

The customer service with Apptega is top-notch. They feel like an extension of my team, always ready to help with any questions I have. They have been so accommodating during the implementation process and are constantly adding new features to meet our needs.

There's a slight learning curve but the customer service is amazing and more than makes up for it. They're always there to help!
