“Comprehensive solution for internal audits

Pros

The simplicity of use, combined with multiple features important for internal audit and SOX work, such as controls and document testing platforms, outreach to stakeholders for periodic controls and providing the necessary evidence for testing, along with connectivity to other enterprise applications.

Cons

It doesn't provide a good option for cloning existing controls, which means you have to create new controls every time.

AuditBoard seemed to offer a lot of options for handling different audit processes.

While it was a positive that AuditBoard had a lot of interfaces, we never really used many of them because we weren't properly trained.

Clean user interface is very innovative and conveys a sense of professionalism and organization for tasks.

I haven't encountered any major weaknesses with this tool.

The convenient workflows and PBC (Prepared by Client) coordination optimize testing efficiency. The user experience is very straightforward.

There are opportunities to increase resource planning efficiencies, particularly in terms of visual imports/exports. However, it looks like this will be addressed in 2025!

I really appreciate the training sessions and the presentations on how to use the platform. Connected Risk is the best way to enhance any organization's system of internal control. We need to embrace AI and AuditBoard opens the door in so many ways.

Cons

Conferences should be a bit longer and ideally start on Monday evening with events.

Customer service is excellent. Everyone is friendly and helpful which makes the experience even better.

Dashboards currently have some limitations but I'm excited about the new dashboards coming out soon!

Out of the box by design is great but adapting to the customer's specific needs can be a drawback. Balancing these needs is key.

I had a very positive experience. It is an effective and efficient tool for documentation and our team plans to use it for years to come. We look forward to increasing integrations and establishing more detailed templates to reduce initial planning work each year on our projects.

Cons

The control certification functionality (using surveys to confirm if any control changes exist) doesn't allow for consolidation or bundling of controls for control owners. They have to click into each survey one by one which can be frustrating for management as it increases time spent.

The ability to connect multiple departments and disciplines in a single platform and share meaningful data and insights is a huge benefit.

Building dashboards was complex but that may be a result of our implementation.

The platform is highly interactive and provides a seamless experience in understanding a connected risk universe.

It is set up with individual modules so to get more value, each module has to be purchased separately.

It is very easy to use and the functionality is out-of-the-box. you don't need to be a technical person to understand how to use the product.

The only downside I'd highlight is the substantial cost compared to other products but the capabilities and level of service make it worth the investment.

Overall my experience has been positive. I used AuditBoard at my last company and advocated for its implementation at my current company, which managed the SOX program in Google Sheets. AuditBoard helps reduce administrative tasks, assists with version control issues and encourages control owners to take ownership of their RCM (Risk Control Matrix). Onboarding stakeholders and control owners is streamlined since the UI is user-friendly. Users outside the internal audit team can quickly navigate to the RCM, PBC and certification page.

The complicated backend process for linking new IPE records to controls.

Pros

I like that it has APIs, which allow me to build automations that may not be natively available in the platform. These automations are becoming increasingly important in our work.

Cons

1) The APIs are poorly documented and require too much �figuring out� and �guessing.� 2) Many of AuditBoard's competitors are moving towards using integrations to directly collect information that addresses the requirements of compliance frameworks. It would be great for AuditBoard to explore this possibility or evaluate the need among customers.
