“A Deeper PenTesting in Budget

Pros

I appreciate the pricing and methodology of this system. Everything is automated providing peace of mind. I use it for my WordPress site where there are already some good security plugins available but they do not offer thorough penetration testing.

Cons

The offered number of tests is small and it would be nice if they could provide more test credits.

“Secure your website for peace of mind

Pros

The process is simple I select my website click a button and let Beagle attempt to breach my site. I am impressed by the number of vulnerabilities Beagle uncovered on what I believed was a secure website. The site is hosted on Cloudways utilizing Cloudflare Wordfence and MalCare yet Beagle identified 22 vulnerabilities three of which were critical. Not only did it reveal these vulnerabilities but it also provided detailed explanations and instructions for remediation.

Cons

Due to the indepth scanning and timed scans to avoid disrupting the site or using resources, my first scan took over 15 hours to complete. This is not a negative, just an observation in a world where I want instant results, leading to impatience. Some suggested fixes were a bit technical for me, although Beagle made efforts to simplify the explanations. The cost and limited scans are also drawbacks. My websites are not critical if I had a critical site the cost would not matter. I would want the best security and Beagle provides that.

The interface is so simple and the interactive report offers clear details on how to resolve vulnerabilities.

Cons

I would have appreciated a dismiss button for vulnerabilities that do not apply to me.

“Good for base security check

Pros

Automated security scans provide an excellent baseline check and Beagle Security identifies an impressive array of potential issues. The product is easy to set up features a great interface and the report is professionally presented. The included uptime monitoring occurring in one-minute increments is an added bonus. The team behind the service is receptive to customer feedback and continuously implements new features.

Cons

It is unfortunate that the white-label option is only available in the "Enterprise" plan.

“A promising security testing app

Pros

The support responses are relatively prompt addressing and resolving any bugs I encounter within an hour. This application provides valuable insights into potential vulnerabilities our sites may have and offers clear instructions and details regarding the issues. We intend to use this application to bolster client confidence by demonstrating potential hacking attempts and outlining how we can assist in securing their sites.

Cons

The software did not provide much detail about the tests it conducted, making it challenging to explain to my boss and clients what had been accomplished.
