“Closing Lock is worthless

I have not found any "pros"

Cons

The software does not provide any usefulness. Everything I have put into the portal has to be backed up with E-Mailed/paper copies of the same information. Why? This hardly seems secure - to be e-Mailing personal information.

It's still somewhat new and has a few growing pains but no major faults.

ClosingLock is super easy and secure and I especially love the extra feature that verifies payoff instructions.

We had one problem with a wire where there were insufficient funds. The wire was sent anyway, causing a lot of hassle for us and the buyer.

This software is a secure platform where clients can easily download wire instructions or even initiate the wire directly. It also lets us know if the client has logged into the portal or not. Plus, it's a safe way for clients to share their wire info with us.

Cons

The processing time can be slow if you need the wire the same day the client initiates it.

The ID verification feature has been really helpful in our field. We have even caught a fraudster thanks to it.

Cons

It's hard to see all functions and messages when using it on a phone. I wish it would send automatic reminders to customers for incomplete tasks so we wouldn't have to chase them.

I appreciate how simple and user friendly it is for today's users and I like how the system updates as soon as clients finish their tasks.

When someone wires money directly through ClosingLock, it takes a long time to actually reach our account.

Sometimes wires take longer to arrive if the buyer sends them the same day.

It can be confusing for some people and might not be very phone-friendly.

My favorite feature is the payoff wire verification. It gives me more peace of mind than calling the bank to confirm wiring instructions. Being able to securely share wiring details with clients and lenders adds even more confidence. The portal is easy for both closers and clients and integrated smoothly into our systems. Whenever a rare issue comes up, customer service is quick to help. ClosingLock is now part of our daily closing routines.

Cons

So far I haven't found any real downsides to it.
