“powerful android defense”
Pros
DexGuard delivers outstanding protection for Android apps, particularly when it comes to blocking reverse engineering and preventing tampering. One of the biggest advantages is how well it fits into our CI/CD pipeline without interfering with the build process we already have in place. The obfuscation, encryption, and runtime protection options are very configurable, so we can decide how extensive the security should be for each app. The documentation is thorough and useful, and it's obvious that the product is built with security as the top priority.
Cons
Getting started takes some effort, especially for developers who are new to secure coding practices or obfuscation. A few of the configuration files are quite sensitive, so even small mistakes can end up breaking the build. Support does reply quickly, but the turnaround for more technical issues can still be slower than expected. The pricing may also be a hurdle for smaller teams since the product is clearly geared more toward enterprise use.

“apps kept secure”
Pros
This software brings together strong code obfuscation, encryption, and RASP in a way that gives reliable protection against reverse engineering and app tampering. One thing I really appreciate is how well it fits into Jenkins and Android Studio, which makes automating app protection in our CI/CD pipeline much more convenient. The runtime security features like root detection, emulator detection, debugger blocking, and real-time threat response have helped us secure sensitive enterprise apps proactively, and we have not seen any noticeable performance impact.
Cons
Even though the product is excellent, getting started was a bit challenging, especially when setting up the more advanced runtime security policies. The official documentation would be more helpful if it included fuller end-to-end DevSecOps pipeline examples. On top of that, integrating DexGuard with older legacy Android builds took extra support time.
