“Ideal for small-to-medium school settings

Pros

iBoss is easy to use even for those with no experience in online security or filtering. Also navigation is simple and I could quickly find what I needed. The customer support team was fantastic too as they are responsive and efficient in addressing my questions.

Cons

I noticed it occasionally causes trouble. We mainly used it when students had their devices outside the district but if they used a VPN, they could easily bypass the filtering.

“Reliable product

Pros

It is not only easy to use but the reporting is simple as well. Also the filtering system is user friendly and easy to navigate.

Cons

The cloud features could use some upgrades. Also in my opinion the cloud filter definitely needs additional functionalities.

“Has its advantages but the access is limited

Pros

The only thing I like is that it was effective at blocking websites though at times it was a bit too aggressive.

Cons

Monitoring individual students was not very simple or reliable. Also as an admin I find it difficult to quickly adjust blocked websites to allow easy access for class activities.

As a support specialist for a cyber school having the ability to filter content for our students is essential. We are really happy with iBoss as it has this capability and others.

Cons

iBoss has many components to it but once you get familiar with them, it handles most tasks for you. I once made a mistake by unchecking a box which caused everyone to lose access to Chrome. So I feel like it would have been helpful if there had been some sort of warning.

“Superb tool

Pros

Setting it up and managing it was pretty simple. Also it's cloud-based protection done right with excellent customer support to back it up. In short I highly recommend this tool.

Cons

No problems or complaints so far. Though let me tell you that it is not too cheap but also not overly expensive.

Pros

The ease of use and reliability have been great. As we have not experienced a single outage in the year we have been using it.

Cons

Everything has been fine so far so no complaints. It works seamlessly for us.
