Pros

The setup along with all of its features are what I really like about Jamf Protect. Within minutes of getting approval everything was up and running.

Cons

For our current needs we have not found any downsides to using Jamf Protect. Jamf made everything easy and there was nothing hard or bad about using this software.

Pros

I find the trial and error method for protecting my endpoints very impressive. It can effectively reduce prevent and isolate rogue processes and malware.

Cons

Assigning licenses and installing could be simpler. Full integration with the Jamf dashboard would be nice. We look forward to more effective premade mitigation workflows to work with.

I find the configuration for automatic installation and updates for version changes is very efficient.

Cons

There needs to be an easier way to set up advanced threat removals in Protect with automatic file quarantine options. This would reduce the need to send issues to Jamf Pro for resolution.

The installation could not have been easier. I have many responsibilities at work but the setup and onboarding were very simple. I followed the documentation step by step. It was so quick and simple that I thought I might have missed something. I did not it is just that easy.

I have not used Jamf Protect long enough to have any feature requests or complaints.

I appreciate how simple the implementation is. Jamf Connect took a bit of time to set up but it works perfectly.

I had some trouble navigating certain menus. At times it seems to be a bit confusing.

It is very easy to implement if you are also using Jamf Pro. It provides solid security event monitoring and the insights for CIS Level 1 and Level 2 are helpful for getting a clear overview of important settings and policies.

Cons

The default plan only reports and does not take actions unless it is edited. A SIEM or AWS S3 bucket is needed for long-term log retention since the 2 million event limit is reached quickly in large deployments.

It can be used with ARD or JAMF Pro. They made this a much easier option than other brands and the support has been great. They have contacted me for feedback improvements and ideas.

I am still learning and hoping for more free web training or videos like I had for Jamf Pro setup and fix up.

For a long time macOS security operations at the enterprise level lacked an easy interface and accurate reporting. Jamf Protect has changed that. Now I can see a complete range of compliance data for our macOS devices in one console which helps with proactive remediation for threat protection. We now receive real-time alerts and insights that previously left us in the dark.

Cons

Honestly I do not think there are any downsides to this product. It does exactly what we need it to do and even competes well with our current threat protection solution for Windows. Other products could learn a lot from Jamf Protect.

As my review title suggests I am still learning. There is a lot to understand in Pro not to mention the additional integrated product. Still the integration is amazing and I really enjoy how easy the deployment is.

Cons

I would appreciate more help with the cleanup process, when viruses or malware are found. Protect has already caught some issues some of which are easy to fix while others leave me confused and I end up wiping the device. The pricing for education could be better. We are paying a premium which I understand but I have to say that competitors like Mosyle are tempting for educational customers like us. Still we love Jamf deeply so switching is not justified right now.

Pros

Compared to other antivirus applications we have used, this one runs very lightly. I hardly even notice that it is there.

Cons

I find no complaints. The software protects the endpoints and also suggests ways to improve.
