user-friendly and feature-rich

Pros

If you're in the market for an MDM solution, I can't recommend ManageEngine Endpoint Central enough. It offers fantastic value, is super user-friendly, and comes packed with all the essential features you'd want. Plus, with a 30-day trial available, there's no reason not to test it out.

Cons

I haven't run into any problems using the platform. Everything is easy to find and use and there are plenty of guides and tutorials if you need help.

Comprehensive device management tool

Pros

I'm really impressed by how comprehensive the device management features are. Deploying customized profiles to groups of devices saves me from manual setup every time so it's a feature I genuinely appreciate.

Cons

Not much to complain about, really. All the features I need are included. You can even access everything with a free account, though there's a limit on how many devices you can add. If you need more, that's when you'd want to upgrade.

Quick and smart setup

Pros

Getting started was quick and painless. The platform is simple enough that I'd choose it over building a custom solution in Intune any day. Definitely worth trying.

Cons

Right now, my only hang-up is around how they define an administrator. I'm trying to set up a client so they can manage things themselves in a co-managed setup, but it's tricky to find the right permission level.

Simple profile configuration

Pros

Configuring different profiles and applying restrictions was refreshingly simple. The process is straightforward and doesn't require deep technical knowledge.

Cons

So far, I haven't had any major issues with ManageEngine MDM Plus. It's packed with features, though I'd love better integration with third-party tools like using OIDC for logging in with other identity providers.

versatile and reliable

Pros

I was pleasantly surprised by how versatile and reliable it is. It handles all the control requirements for my Android devices perfectly. And since it's more affordable than other local options, I've been able to redirect funds to other projects.

Cons

Sales support was slow to get back to me, though I probably should've reached out sooner since my trial was almost over.

easy to use with great support

Pros

We've been blown away by how easy this product is to use. It's also a huge relief to work with a support team that actually understands the tool. Setup has been smooth overall, we're still fine-tuning device enrollment, but that's more due to Apple Business Manager than the MDM itself.

Cons

The only snag we hit was realizing you can't have two MDMs active in Apple Business Manager at the same time. Some kind of migration tool would've been helpful moving from our old platform but I get that it's tricky, especially when moving away from a competitor's proprietary system.

Effective for mobile but limited windows control

Pros

It's really effective for managing and keeping an eye on mobile phones and tablets and it comes with a wide range of useful features.

Cons

It doesn't offer much control over macOS and Windows devices. For example, I tried to disable Bluetooth on a Mac but the user could just turn it right back on.

User-friendly tool with good docs

Pros

The platform is user-friendly and works well even for small teams once you get familiar with the documentation. It offers plenty of helpful options like Kiosk mode, custom profiles, and app control and the guides are actually well-written.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like there's almost too much information for what we need. A simpler guide for smaller setups would be helpful since we're only managing a handful of mobile devices.

simple and visually-appealing interface

Pros

I find the interface very simple and covers most of what we need. Their online support chat is also really helpful whenever we have questions.

Cons

It feels like development has stalled a bit. Other vendors have added features we need, but MDM hasn't kept up. It'd be nice if one vendor could meet all our needs, though they do offer other tools that help.

quick setup and customizable

Pros

For me, the best thing about this MDM software is how simple it is to get set up and how many customization options it offers.

Cons

Out of all the features, integration is where it falls a little short. I wish it connected with more than just Zoho products.

offers knowledgeable support

Pros

Their support team is always ready to help and really knows their stuff so it makes solving problems quick and hassle-free.

Cons

The apps we distribute don't install silently and we have to manually sync the server every single time we make updates.

Flexible & clean interface

Pros

I love how flexible it is and how much control it gives me over our IT inventory. Plus the interface is clean and easy to navigate.

Cons

Nothing so far! I'm still new to ManageEngine but it's lived up to my expectations.

Thorough documentation

Pros

The documentation is thorough and makes it easy to get devices set up and connected which is something a lot of other companies don't get right.

Cons

It's mostly great but a slightly cleaner interface would improve the experience but overall it's a solid product.

Affordable Software with key features

Pros

One thing that really stands out is that even though it's way more affordable than other enterprise tools, it still delivers all the key features we need. Everything from enrolling devices and setting policies to remote wiping, managing apps, and running compliance checks works reliably across all our devices. The interface is great and the system is fast and responsive.

Cons

The main challenge we had was onboarding Apple devices that weren't already in Apple Business Manager. Since they were already in use, it took some extra manual work to enroll them. That's more of an Apple limitation than a problem with the tool itself.
