“not worth the headaches

Pros

The CRC Essentials license from them is a great deal as it offers three products InsightVM, InsightCloudSec and InsightConnect. This package covers everything we need including vulnerability management, cloud security, compliance and even some aspects of security orchestration and automation.

Cons

While the package offers a great deal for a small team like ours but providing a broad range of services with a single license, it has ended up making our workload much heavier which is frustrating. Also the InsightVM product should give us solid vulnerability management coverage but it misses key software like Visual Studio and NVidia which is a major drawback for a game development company. Achieving basic tasks requires a lot of admin effort and there is a lack of automation for many tasks so we are still doing them manually. The limited integration options with other tools and platforms are also disappointing. While InsightCloudSec helps identify security issues, it is tough to work with due to the lack of automation and integration options. This leaves us relying more on Excel sheets instead of more efficient tools like Jira. And I have been using it for over a year and have to submit at least three support tickets a month due to recurring technical issues, only to hear we have never seen this behavior before from support which is really annoying.

“The ultimate cybersecurity solution

Pros

The interface is simple and basic which makes it easy to access every part of the application. Also it is quick to understand and compiling and reporting data is not a problem too. And there are plenty of customizable options to fit our company's specific needs.

Cons

There is absolutely nothing to dislike. As mentioned before this is a complete solution that meets all our needs.

Pros

What stands out the most about Rapid7 Security Services is their thorough approach to cybersecurity. Their tools offer deep insight into our network, vulnerabilities and threats, allowing us to stay ahead of potential issues. Also the software is easy to use and the reporting features help us quickly prioritize and resolve security concerns. Additionally their support is top-notch with frequent updates that keep us prepared for new threats. Overall I value how effective, user friendly and well supported their service is.

Cons

Rapid7 Security Services do offer a lot of benefits but there are a few things that could be better. As the pricing is quite high, especially for more comprehensive solutions which may be not ideal for smaller organizations. Additionally there is a steep learning curve with their tools which makes it challenging for those with less experience. Lastly their support response time could definitely be quicker. Plus if they improve pricing transparency, offer more user training and speed up support, the overall experience would be a lot better.

“Excellent for vulnerability scanning

Pros

I really like having a single platform for complete risk management. Also the interface is great and the support team always provides relevant and useful information.

Cons

Some of the remediation suggestions are not very customized as per the application and they can vary depending on the app. Also if the software were a bit cheaper it would be much more accessible to small businesses like ours.

“Reasonable but could be better

Pros

Rapid7 is very well designed and I also find it pretty easy to use.

Cons

Well the support responses have been slow and I noticed that there is room for improvement in tracking issues.

“Perfect for compliance with NIST/CMMC

It is integrated with all of our workstations. The dashboards are also user-friendly and even those without deep IT knowledge can monitor risks and threats in our network.

Cons

Honestly I have not found anything I dislike about this software yet. We have been using it for about four months now and it's already delivered far more than we managed in the past few years.

“Security services are dependable

Pros

The best part to me is how easy the services are to use. Their vulnerability assessment and threat intelligence services are one of the best and they are simple to implement in any business environment.

Cons

Removal has to be done manually. Aside from that I do not really have any issues.

Pros

There is a lot that stands out to us such as ease of use and scalability. Also flexible deployment is something that I love most about their services.

To be fair there is nothing that we dislike about the services.

“Tried to scan, did not work, and they still billed me

Their marketing materials are impressive but unfortunately, the product itself did not meet my expectations and the company behind it was not very professional.

Cons

Rapid7 failed to scan our site and the service was unusable for the first 2.5 months of our subscription. When we raised the issue with our account rep and billing department, they refused to offer a discount for the time the scans were not working. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, we were ignored and then they started collections.

“Highly recommend this cyber security tool

Pros

Even though there are a lot of great things about it but what impressed me most were their vulnerability assessment and threat intelligence services.

Cons

From my perspective there is nothing to dislike, though there is always room for improvement.

“Top-notch for data security

Pros

A few things that make it the best among others I have come across are scanning for vulnerabilities and compliance, as they are one of their key strengths.

Cons

Devices that are found and scanned are never removed automatically as they have to be removed manually which is something I wish was not the case.
