“Loving it for more than a decade

Pros

After a decade in Information Security and working with various GRC tools, RealCISO has impressed me the most. It provides the necessary functionality for monitoring controls on frameworks like NIST CSF and SOC2 in an intuitive manner at a fraction of the cost. After using it for two years, Im extremely satisfied. I highly recommend it for any organization, regardless of size or industry. 5 stars.

Cons

There's really not much to dislike about this tool. One of the best things is the customer support. If you find anything you don't like or need added, the team will respond quickly and make the necessary changes or improvements.

Pros

RealCISO stands out for its quick implementation allowing me to begin assessments as soon as my client is ready. As a vCISO, it helps me ask the right questions, guiding clients toward an accurate understanding of their current cybersecurity capabilities. It also enables me to produce executive level reports and visualizations that highlight framework alignment and areas in need of improvement. The platform keeps track of all completed assessments and provides tools to monitor remediation progress and demonstrate improvements in the cybersecurity program over time. Overall RealCISO enables me to complete a comprehensive cyber risk assessment in just a few hours. More importantly, it facilitates open, honest discussions with clients about their cybersecurity status and outlines what steps are necessary to enhance the organization's cyber resilience

Cons

The downsides of RealCISO are minimal especially if you've established a process for regularly assessing your cyber program capabilities. Some of the data exports could be cleaner and it's important to double-check which implementation group (based on CIS Controls) is selected for your scoring and reporting.

Pros

The platform's ease of use combined with onboard reporting is a big plus. Additionally, the ability to import previous findings into new assessments saves time and avoids duplicated efforts. It ensures continuous and efficient follow-up assessments.

Cons

Occasionally, I have found integrating with the Marketplace and understanding its impact on scoring to be a bit tricky to navigate.

Pros

RealCISO makes it easy to get clear answers , yes or no and provides detailed insights based on the specific framework assessments, making it simple to track progress.

Cons

Going through each assessment takes time and there could be an executive reporting PDF output that's more streamlined and easier to work with especially when utilizing the graphs.

Pros

I rely on it whenever I start a new client assessment. The platform offers nearly all the assessments needed and collaboration is seamless, which makes the whole process easy and efficient.

Cons

I wouldn't change anything about RealCISO.
