“Supportive service team and intuitive platform design

Pros

Our experience with Rivial Security for GRC has been positive overall especially regarding their strong customer support, professionalism and follow up. The team has been very responsive and proactive, ensuring we stay informed and supported. While the platform is userfriendly, there were a few challenges with some concepts, terminology and technical aspects, particularly around specific calculations. However we understand this is due to the complexity of GRC and their team has been great at providing guidance. Overall we have been satisfied with the platform and it has helped us prepare for internal, external and regulatory audits.

Cons

While Rivial Security's platform is generally clean and intuitive, we have found that some concepts, terminology and technical aspects especially around certain calculations, can be a bit confusing. We understand, though, that this is more about the inherent complexity of GRC rather than an issue with Rivial itself. That being said, whenever we've had questions, Rivial's team has been great at helping us work through any confusion.

Rivial has significantly helped us formalize our approach to cyber compliance and risk assessments. The platform's structured methodology has made it much easier for us to manage and monitor these areas. One standout feature is its ability to centralize evidence and artifacts, which has increased efficiency by providing a single accessible repository for compliance documentation. The platform also excels at tracking findings and their remediation status, which has streamlined our workflow and ensured timely resolution of issues.

Cons

It does have a bit of a learning curve for new users but the team is incredibly responsive and supportive. They've been very helpful in addressing any challenges we have faced, which has made getting up to speed much easier.

I appreciate the way Rivial maps evidence-based compliance across multiple controls and frameworks. It's a great feature for managing compliance across various standards.

Cons

Some of the manual processes for collecting and populating evidence can be a bit time-consuming. We would love to explore how we could automate this aspect for more efficiency.

Pros

Working with Rivial for our IT Risk Assessment and vCISO services has been a great experience. They have helped us make informed decisions about our security program and as someone with a risk management background, I've found their guidance extremely valuable.

Cons

It can sometimes be tricky to align schedules for quick meetings. However, we have found that email has worked well to get tasks done when a meeting isn't possible.

Pros

I love working with the knowledgeable team at RDS. They are always available to help, even outside of our regular meetings. They provide timely reminders for cybersecurity events like Annual Board Reporting, Incident Response Tabletop Testing and Vulnerability Scans. They also share templates for policies and procedures and assist with the wording to fit our needs, especially since we don't have a CISO on staff. Their teaching approach has been incredibly helpful and they treat every request as a priority. I truly appreciate their support!

Cons

I wouldn't say there is anything I dislike. I have sometimes struggled with the platform but a quick call to the RDS team always clears things up. It's usually because I've been doing something wrong, not because of any issues with the platform itself. They always make sure I'm comfortable before ending the call.

Rivial has helped us by not only providing a tool but also offering a team to assist in reviewing our frameworks, controls and risk assessments. This has effectively added virtual staff members to our team, reducing risks to our organization. I especially value the quantitative methods used to measure and report on our risks.

Cons

I don't have any real cons to mention, but if I had to pick one, I'd say there's a bit of a learning curve to the toolset and methodology. Fortunately, the Rivial team is very engaged and responsive, making it much easier to manage.

I can't really comment on this section because the entire Rivial team is so collaborative and works closely with their customers. They're true partners in every sense.

I don't really have issues with the platform. Anytime I've noticed something off, the Rivial team has addressed it quickly and is always open to adding new features.

The Rivial Platform offers an intuitive, userfriendly interface. Even if you're not tech savvy, it's easy to navigate. The layout is clean and the features are logically organized so getting started doesn't require extensive training. The document management system is also impressive, supporting a wide range of file formats. It's easy to organize documents and data security is a top priority, with robust controls to protect sensitive information. The support team at Rivial is responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping you succeed. They always address my concerns promptly. Considering all the features it offers, the platform is very competitively priced and delivers great value. I can't recommend it enough! It has saved us countless hours previously spent on cybersecurity program management and provides a one-stop solution to keep our program continuously updated.

Cons

There's not much to say here. Even when I request future enhancements, the Rivial team often shows me a better way to accomplish the task. On the rare occasion the Rivial Cyber Security Management tool doesn't offer something I need, they listen to my request and if it makes sense, they add it to their enhancement roadmap.
