Pros

I really like the visibility and how everything is connected like the objectives, requirements and controls� all in one place.

Cons

I think ControlMap is missing some controls. For example I couldn't find a control specifically for PCI DSS 4.0.

Pros

The dashboard is super easy to understand. It offers over 50 frameworks that cross walk to each other, which saves a lot of time when handling multiple compliance regulations and questionnaires. I also appreciate the built in policy and procedure templates, along with a great document repository that has an approval process and version control. The audit feature is great for self-attestation or third-party audits like SOC2 or CMMC. They're constantly adding new features based on customer recommendations. Plus they offer free training and workshops with support. The integration feature has secure APIs for the most common vendors and cloud apps.

Pros

ControlMap provides an easy platform that allowed our GRC team to completely overhaul how we approach policy, governance, vendors and risk management all in one place. Before, we were using multiple separate solutions for these tasks but now our entire Risk Management Program is housed in a single platform, making administration, navigation and linking information between policies, controls, evidence gathering and risk treatment much easier.

Cons

The SSO login experience doesn't work properly if you're using both the MSP platform and a tenant for your organization. Because of this, we had to configure our GRC team as members of both the MSP tenant and our organizational tenant to get them into the platform after working with support.

Pros

The platform is effective and easy to use. It's helped us scale our offerings efficiently.

I jjust submitted a bug fix and plan to collaborate with their community on further improvements and additions.

Pros

ControlMap is simple to use and has no complicated processes. When I first started using it, I wasn't sure what to do but once I got the hang of it, it became very intuitive and easy to navigate.

Cons

The software can be a bit slow, which gets frustrating especially when you are reading and acknowledging a long list of documents. You run into this slowness multiple times. The auth flow is also a little off. It doesn't seem to support integration with Okta, so we can't use our usual SSO. When logging in with Google, you get redirected several times and there's tiny text on the screen saying �you are about to be redirected,� which feels unnecessary and unprofessional.

Pros

The compliance checking services are excellent. It helps with comparison and identification of environments both individually and as a whole.

Cons

Some of the user interface design could be improved and the MSP portal could be a bit easier for adding clients and organizations to the primary MSP dashboard.

Pros

They put a lot of effort into implementing integrations, frameworks and more and they also provide weekly feedback on our product and its landscape, it's a great help.

Cons

I can't think of any major downsides to ControlMap but if I had to mention one thing, I'm not a fan of the common assessment feature.

The interface is top notch, making it so much easier to navigate compliance tasks. It's very straightforward and keeps you on track!

It would be great to see more integrations with different toolsets to help collect information. This can be very time consuming so any improvements in this area (which I know they're focusing on) would be helpful!

It's easy to log in, import best practice templates, compliance documents and get started right away.

More advanced frameworks don't provide much information about the content of the questions being asked unless you go outside the application to do more research.

Pros

The ease of assessing and managing our customers' compliance requirements is key. Without ControlMap, we wouldn't be able to offer compliance readiness assistance. When choosing a vendor, it stood out in the important areas. Their customer support is super responsive to our needs.

Cons

I generally don't like the idea of consolidating too many tools under one company. It's probably just a case of Kaseya PTSD. I really hope ScalePad doesn't turn into the next Kaseya. But I'm looking forward to the integrations of LCI and ControlMap for client QBRs.
