Pros

I love the transparency of the dashboard and the tools in the roadmap and controls area, which allow me to get detailed information and add notes and comments. Overall the platform is easy to use, fairly interactive and the user support is very engaged, providing regular touchpoints and answering questions. The risk register is an added bonus.

Cons

It's not exactly a dislike but an enhancement I would love to see would be the ability to add custom fields and have more integrations. The product team however is very receptive to customer feedback.

Thoropass offered us a great deal on our pentest and worked extremely well within the scope provided. They were very responsive to any queries and the report they delivered was excellent.

Cons

The only problem is that we are a UK based company and they're based in a different timezone. But that didn't affect their speedy responses.

Some features are hard to navigate and the instructions aren't always clear.

Their industry knowledge and consistent help over time have been invaluable. They have helped us set reasonable goals, quickly answered our questions, followed up on pending items and provided guidance on applying SOC 2 requirements to our specific business. The integrations with AWS and other monitors were also very useful. Overall, it was easy to use and implement and we used it weekly until we obtained the report.

Cons

Sometimes the clarification was needed when submitting actual audit evidence as it wasn't always immediately obvious which Roadmap tasks to prepare for the audit. However, the auditors were always able to clarify things.

The cost of service is steep but you get what you pay for in terms of great service.

The platform's UX was reasonably simple and our Success Manager was very knowledgeable about how to use it effectively.

There was some early confusion when Thoropass rebranded from Laika. As an organization pursuing SOC 2 for the first time, it wasn't clear where the line was drawn, as Laika would still remain the auditor. This rebranding could have been better communicated to organizations that engaged Laika for both compliance and use of the framework platform.

I appreciate the integrations, monitors and unified controls in the platform.

Cons

There's nothing I dislike, it is perfect. However, it would be great to see more frameworks like CMMC and FedRamp.

Pros

Once all controls are set in the tool, it automatically creates tasks for control owners based on the control frequency.

Cons

The customized email notification settings could be improved for better user control.
