“The ultimate security and compliance solution

Pros

TrustCloud covers a wide range of compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA. It really excels at automating repetitive tasks like risk assessments, policy management and evidence collection. The user interface is easy to navigate, even for people without a lot of security expertise.

Cons

Integration with existing security tools and data synchronization through the API can be a bit cumbersome. Some key features are locked behind the paid tier and the price might be too high for some organizations.

The ease of use and how willing their team was to educate us as SOC 2 newcomers was great.

Cons

Nothing much. As an early stage startup, I couldn't ask for more especially since we didn't have to pay the $20K that other SOC 2 readiness products quoted us.

Pros

Technical support is super fast, friendly, personal and really helpful. I'm on a first name basis with a couple of the support reps and they always exceed my expectations whenever I have a question or issue.

Cons

There have been a couple of small bugs, but they were addressed and resolved quickly. I'm still learning the platform but so far, I have no complaints.

“Streamlining the SOC 2 process

Pros

The software is so easy and the onboarding process was really simple as well.

Cons

The only downside I can mention is that I would've liked to know about the cost of the audit before purchasing. That extra cost more than doubles the price to actually get the SOC 2 credential.

Pros

This is a great set of tools that really helps startups understand what's needed for SOC 2 certification. It also automates the readiness process, making it much easier to pass the audit evaluation successfully.

Cons

It covers a lot of the certification process like evidence collection and setting up integrations, but for someone new to it, it can be a bit confusing to figure out what's next without expert support.

“Perfect for small businesses launching a comprehensive security program

TrustShare (their website that's used to share with clients/prospects) has been great for streamlining our security reviews.

Cons

The new layout with five different areas (TrustOps, TrustCloud etc) can be a little confusing at times.

The amazin thing is that it's free for startups through one of their SOC 2 programs, which is awesome.

Cons

Some of the automations were a bit unclear and some required document templates were missing.

TrustCloud has been incredibly valuable for my business but there are a couple of areas that could use improvement: 1) Pricing�while the benefits are obvious, the cost can sometimes be high for businesses like mine. More affordable pricing tailored for smaller businesses would be appreciated. 2) Learning curve�.while it's quite adaptable, there's still a learning curve when first using the platform. It would be helpful to have tutorials and resources to guide users more smoothly.

Pros

For a software platform that automates so much of the SOC 2 process, my favorite part of using TrustCloud is their customer success and support team. From onboarding and syncing with our systems to creating custom integrations, the team has been incredibly responsive to all our questions. Their site that syncs with TrustOps is really powerful, during our SOC 2 audit preparation, we can share our approved policies and monitored controls with customers.

Cons

It is a small thing but the platform could simplify the number of clicks it takes to add evidence to a control assessment. Other than that, we have no complaints about the platform or the team.

I've started using their free SOC 2 program for a few of my early-stage startup clients and it is been a fantastic value. It saves my customers $5K per year.

Cons

The tool feels a bit limited in comparison to the leading SOC 2 automation tools out there.

I really appreciate the ability to see the different compliance control requirements down to the details which helps inform and outline the process for building a reliable, top notch compliance engine for our products.

I found myself a bit confused by the TrustCloud controls that needed to pass, while other controls seemed to pass just fine. It would have been helpful to get more guidance on why these controls are separated or what connects them

“Integrating compliance, SOC 2 and sales pipeline

Pros

TrustShare has been incredibly valuable for us. We used to send a PDF explaining our policies, which often led to calls and back-and-forth discussions. Now we simply send our TrustShare link and that usually answers all the questions. We rarely hear back from the compliance team during the procurement process. It's been a game-changer, saving us about two weeks in the sales cycle

Cons

TrustShare has been huge for us. It took a bit to understand how to use compliance software (especially for someone new to it) but I don't have any complaints. It's been great.

We use it because of the generous free tier. The platform was really easy to use. We got ready for our SOC 2 audit and set up a trust page to share with prospects. Being able to show a strong security posture helps us win deals and it was easy to do with TrustCloud.

Cons

There's a bit of difficulty to understand it. Once you use it for a while, you get the hang of it. Adding a better guide would really help.

“Well worth it

Pros

Being a bootstrapped company, It is crucial for getting our SOC 2 process off the ground. Other platforms are much more expensive but offer the same features. I've used a competitor before and found it to be a waste of money. TrustCloud, along with a trusted auditor, will save you both time and money!

Cons

It's quite difficult to use sometimes�however it's good that the team has been really receptive to feedback and is implementing some exciting changes.

The interface is easy to use and really helps you understand the full scope of the certification process.

It is missing certain integrations but I think they'll come over time to help automate some of the �proof� tasks.
