Can access my projects from anywhere

Pros

One of the best parts is being able to download and update all the software through Adobe Creative Cloud. The way the programs connect with each other, along with the online storage, helps me work more efficiently and makes it possible to access my projects from any device, wherever I am.

Cons

Honestly the subscription price for Adobe Creative Cloud feels like the only real downside. If the cost were lower, I think a lot more people would be willing to use it.

realistic 3d designs

Pros

Getting realistic-looking 3D designs and renders out of Adobe Dimension feels very achievable because it's a powerful tool without being overly difficult to pick up at the start. It's approachable enough for beginners to begin working with it fairly quickly and the way it connects with other Adobe products is definitely another big advantage.

Cons

Overall the experience was pleasant but a couple of things were a bit disappointing. It doesn't support enough file formats which can make certain tasks more complicated and it also feels like it lacks some of the features available in other similar products.

Easy to pick up

Pros

Just getting started with this program and I'm already really enjoying it. It's simple to pick up and begin using right away. It also connects really well with other Adobe products so if you're already familiar with Adobe tools, that experience definitely carries over and helps a lot here.

Cons

I do wish it included a wider selection of backgrounds and objects to work with.

Great for creating mockups

Pros

It has been an excellent option for creating mockups for ads and other visuals we use on promotional items. It's really enjoyable to work with and helps us produce polished, high-quality content.

Cons

Getting started from zero can be a little challenging but once you spend some time experimenting with it, the platform becomes very user-friendly. We've really enjoyed using it and it has played a big part in helping our brand grow.

Well organized interface

Pros

Working in it feels very natural thanks to the user-friendly interface, the variety of material options and how quickly I can modify, move or change any element.

Cons

The only thing I'd still want is a larger selection of textures so the graphics can look even more realistic.

Beginner-friendly tool

Pros

A beginner-friendly 3D workspace that's simple to handle and comes with a basic starter library of assets.

Cons

It would be better with a larger selection of model assets and more material finish options.

plenty of built-in assets

Pros

It lets me place my designs onto a wide range of standard 3D packaging templates really quickly and it's helpful being able to see everything in a realistic 3D setting before finalizing anything. It also comes with plenty of built-in materials and assets which makes the whole workflow feel user-friendly and simple to use.

Cons

The software can get pretty laggy and will occasionally crash. Rendering is another weak spot since exporting an image file can take quite a while.

Userfriendly program

Pros

Its very user-friendly. Dimension makes 3D product photography much easier to create.

Cons

It's disappointing that Adobe discontinued it and pushed users toward the Substance version instead.

Built-in tools for adjusting visual details

Pros

As part of Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Dimension has been useful for everything from room layouts to object modeling and rendering. It works especially well for certain products you may want to showcase since it includes built-in tools for adjusting lighting, materials and other visual details.

Cons

There are still some features missing that other software options already offer. Even so, considering the price and how well it fits in with other Adobe services, it remains a very efficient option.

Photorealistic mockups for pros

Pros

It gives professional graphic designers the ability to build photorealistic 3D product mockups and those can be exported without much hassle into Photoshop or Illustrator for use in other projects.

Cons

Recent updates have made Dimension more approachable than it used to be but it still feels like software built mainly for professionals and isn't as beginner-friendly as Photoshop for less experienced designers.

Timesaving software!

Pros

Applying the same graphic to several package sizes is really quick which saves a lot of time when working on multiple variations.

Cons

It performs best with hard-sided boxes or display pieces and it's not as effective for film-based items.

Comes with a lot of designing tools

Pros

Comes with a broad set of design tools for building custom 3D models. It also works well with other Adobe apps like Photoshop and Illustrator which makes the workflow more connected. On top of that, it can produce realistic 3D visuals with natural-looking shadows and lighting.

Cons

It only supports a small number of file formats which can be restrictive for designers who also use other 3D software. It also lacks more advanced texture mapping features and the rendering speed could be faster.

Effective for creating 3D designs

Pros

It has been a strong option for creating 3D designs and renderings, especially with its clean interface, efficient workflow and realistic rendering capabilities.

Cons

That said, it does come with a few drawbacks, including limited functionality in some areas, a fairly steep learning curve, the subscription-based pricing, demanding hardware requirements and somewhat limited export options.

Simple for new graphic designers

Pros

Adobe Dimension includes all the core tools needed to create photorealistic 3D visuals. I've been using it for years and I've really enjoyed the built-in textures, models and lighting options. It's also very simple for graphic designers who don't have much 3D experience.

Cons

This is still a fairly basic program and the final render can run into problems, especially when working with glass materials. Even though I really love using it overall, it's clearly aimed at beginners and isn't the right choice for highly photorealistic rendering.

Quick product mockups

Pros

Getting started as a new user was pretty fast. I was able to download the software and put together a product mockup in a short time. If you already know your way around other Adobe apps, Adobe Dimension feels fairly user-friendly.

Cons

It might not include the exact 3D model you need for your project. When that happens, you have to search Adobe Stock for a suitable model, download it and then import it into Adobe Dimension.

Easier to use than alternatives

Pros

Compared with heavier 3D tools like Cinema 4D or Blender, this feels much more approachable for creating clean mockups. It's simple to work with and saves a lot of time when the goal is to build simple, good-looking mockups without dealing with the complexity of full 3D programs.

Cons

it still needs more development to compete with other 3D software. It already works well for mockups but I'd really like to see better materials and improved lighting, along with some additional features to make it more capable overall.
