“Cost effective yet efficient

Pros

After looking at several search vendors, such as Elastic, Swifttype, HawkSearch, Clerk.io, Cludo, Algolia, AddSearch, SearchNode, and Coveo, we decided to choose AddSearch. They stood out because they provided a good variety of search features, specialized in federated search, offered personalization options, and let us create a custom UI. Their pricing was reasonable and nowhere near the most expensive options, and they had the fastest integration time, which made everything go smoothly.

Cons

We've faced some minor issues with the technology, but whenever we faced such problems with search indexing or code, the AddSearch support team was super quick to help us out with troubleshooting and solving the issues in no time.

We were able to easily integrate search functionality into our custom website.

Cons

It being expensive is certainly the biggest drawback. Not sure if we're using the full potential of the search feature yet.

“A perfect solution for cross site search problem

Pros

The custom search UI helps us display the results in our corporate style. The performance is exceptional, and the dashboard offers so many options. One can add hidden keywords, use synonym groups, and adjust the relevance of specific pages in the index. We can also reorder results for specific keywords, which is helpful with a large index. Custom meta tags allow us to add labels to search results, which gives the user the context on what to expect exactly from each page.

Cons

So far, the only issue i have come across is a few technical limitations. It would be amazing if search suggestions could be filtered too, like only showing suggestions that match a specific site. Ive had to get used to using handlebars.js as a template library, but it works fine if you use custom helper functions.

Pros

Its simple to install, easy to customize, and configure to only show the pages you want to be searchable. The ranking system allows you to pin pages to the top of search results. I love how user friendly AddSearch is. It's a great product that helps visitors find what they need quickly. It's easy to set up and a game changer for its indexing and searching, especially with the auto fill feature for faster results.

Cons

It would be great if they offered a free plan to help people test the product more. They do have a demo version, but a plan for beginners to set up on their site would be even better. Otherwise everything is fine so far.

“Awesome product thats easy to install and works effortlessly

Pros

We have been using AddSearch for 4 years, and its been a great solution for our website. It helps users search our 1000+ pages for hotels, holidays, and destinations quickly. It has made our life so easy!

Cons

The price has increased since we started, but they've also added some great new features, so it's a bit of a trade off. The added features are more or less worth the increased price.

The customer service is excellent and professional, and the ability to pin results based on actual customer inquiries makes searches more accurate.

It would be better if they had more pinned results to help customize searches based on customer inquiries.

“Perfect substitute for Yahoo Store Site Search

Pros

AddSearch worked with us to customize their software to meet our needs. They offer an affordable site search solution and also provide great customer service and accurate search results. It gave us the ability to export items into a page file using RTML when it comes to Yahoo store item catalog. AddSearch also helped us customize the search results page to match our exact preferences. We previously looked at Algolia, but found it more difficult to customize, and their visual components required more expertise. With Addsearch the setting up part was easy with one of the reasons being their well trained customer support helping us throughout the process. The dataset it is producing is satisfactory as the results are exact and pin point. We need accurate results for our result or the whole process may go wrong and their search result with exact string matching is able to provide us with exactly that.

Cons

I don't find any downside. AddSearch customer service has been great and, they have answered all of our questions.
