“Really stands out as an ILS
Pros
I chose to go with Evolve Library as a Software as a Service subscription for our community library instead of installing it locally. This helped us avoid the huge costs that come with maintaining ICT infrastructure, backups, security and needing special expertise. The staff and patrons all use the same software to fit their needs. The tech side uses the acquisition and cataloging modules while the readers' service department focuses on the circulation module and its reporting features. The web-based OPAC is super helpful for patrons. One of my favorite things about It is how customizable it is. We could tailor the data fields and the OPAC layout to meet the specific needs of our library. Plus it integrates really well with Microsoft Office, so patrons can use files from Evolve on their devices without any compatibility issues.
Cons
I've noticed that even computer savvy patrons have a bit of a hard time using all the great features that Evolve Library offers.

“User friendly tool!
Pros
It's so easy to use and manipulate especially for the price!
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. Any issues that come up are always fixed quickly and the updates are scheduled frequently and at convenient times.

“Perfect software for our library needs
Pros
What I really appreciate about this software is how stable it is. We never have to worry about whether or not it will work and it just does! And whenever we need help from customer support, they're quick to respond and very easy to work with.
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of anything we don't like about it.

“I love it!
Pros
We've loved using It. They've created custom reports for us and are always open to feedback. The system is easy to use and I have no trouble finding the information I need for annual reports. I also like that I can talk directly to anyone from the head of the company to the software engineers.
Cons
Sometimes we have trouble finding cataloging records for independently published items and occasionally for preorders.

“Amazing support team
Pros
It's very easy to use. Even people who aren't familiar with computers can get the hang of it. Running reports is easy. What I like most is the customer care. Anytime I have an issue, they're amazing. They've either solved all my problems or explained what I was doing wrong and how to fix it.
Cons
The thing I like least is that if the internet goes down, you can't use it.

“Evolve is always evolving
Pros
The Catalog Search feature is great and it pulls in catalogs from other libraries when I'm cataloging books. I also love that I can choose which tags I don't want imported, so I don't waste time deleting unnecessary tags.
Cons
The Authority feature. I still haven't quite figured out how to mass correct a Subject tag.

“Easy to use interface
Pros
The interface is really user friendly. If I need something specific, it's easy to submit a request for changes.
Cons
I think the WebOpac could be a little more userfriendly.
