sleek design and packed with advanced features

Pros

File sharing might sound basic but OrangeDAM's sleek, modern design makes advanced features like version control, asset tagging and sharing feel effortless even for non-designers. Its smart AI automatically detects and sorts design elements, colors and styles, so finding and organizing files is also not an issue.

Cons

I wish the batch editing for metadata was a bit more powerful especially when working across different file types. It would also be great if the search filters offered more options for filtering by design attributes.

The only platform I would recommend

Pros

Orange Logic is the only digital asset management platform I would recommend. They are one of the few that offer AI-powered tagging for both images and videos. It is perfect for companies of any size since they don't charge per user. Their white-glove service is unmatched as they customize everything to fit our unique needs. The platform is also user friendly and does most of the heavy lifting as I only spend about an hour a week managing it. Plus it integrates smoothly with our existing software and online tools.

Cons

The only downside was how long it took to get our DAM system set up. But now that it's running, I have to admit it was totally worth the wait.

Tops them all on speed and features

Pros

I have tried several DAM systems and this one tops them all. It's fast, user-friendly and packed with built-in features that usually require custom coding elsewhere. I can customize a lot myself without touching backend code. Customer support is genuinely helpful and quick to respond. Also I love how flexible the metadata options are and the customizable search filters make a big difference. The dashboard gives me quick insights and the standard reports cover almost everything I need. Overall I am really impressed.

Cons

Since I was not part of the initial setup and don't have round-the-clock support, I sometimes find the documentation a little unclear which leaves me with unanswered questions when reconfiguring things.

simple file sharing with adobe integration

Pros

Cortex makes uploading, sharing and downloading media files simple. It works pretty well with Adobe apps so our creative team can collaborate remotely using proxy files. The platform is adaptable and the integration team has been fantastic to work with.

Cons

I am being quite picky here but I'd really like Cortex to support more S3 storage tiers to help lower our cloud costs. I hear it's in the works though.

smooth metadata mapping and batch editing

Pros

One of Cortex's biggest strengths is how easy it is to set up multiple metadata mappings and edit fields in batches. These tools are much smoother than what I have experienced with other systems over the years.

Cons

It was clearly built to handle a broad range of uses which probably helps attract different customers. But for end users, it can feel overwhelming. It took me months to explore all the features and focus on what actually worked for me. Once you get there, it's great but it tries to do a bit too much at once.

Includes a helpful ticketing system

Pros

I really like that Orange Logic includes a ticketing system called Link. I can report issues, ask questions or suggest improvements and prioritize tickets based on urgency. Plus I can always check the status of my tickets and resolved ones are archived, so I have a full history of how our DAM system has evolved.

Cons

This is very detailed and full of features. Even as the main power user, I know I am not using everything it offers as there is just not enough time to dive that deep.

Reliable with fast batch editing

Pros

The asset management system works reliably. Batch editing is fast and simple too and it's great being able to clear out outdated data easily. The calculator feature takes a bit to set up but is incredibly powerful once it is running.

Cons

My only issue is when we use it slightly outside its intended scope and its lack of future-proofing. We serve both pro and casual users and requiring every user to log in is not ideal for one-time buyers. Also mobile usability is still behind where it should be in this day and age. Coming from e-commerce, I am used to tweaking CSS for responsive designs but here customizing beyond the fixed templates is nearly impossible.

simple with top-notch cybersecurity

Pros

It is a SaaS platform with an smart interface, strong search and metadata tools and secure AWS-based storage and archives. The cybersecurity features are top-notch.

Cons

The frequent software updates are great for bug fixes and new features but they can interrupt our team's workflow and add extra complexity which means more work for us adapting each time.

scaled perfectly as we have grown

Pros

For us Cortex has scaled perfectly as we have grown. We can tweak settings quickly as workflows change and we have used APIs to connect it with other production tools. Overall its flexibility has helped us boost both scale and efficiency.

Cons

Well the flexibility that helped us scale and work efficiently can also lead to complexity if not managed carefully. Also it is easy to try to do too much too fast but a phased approach works much better.

easy to use with little training

Pros

The best part is how easy it is to use. Most people can handle the basic functions with little or no training.

Cons

Lately support responses have been a bit slower. Most tickets get answered within two weeks though important issues still get fast attention.
