“Countless possibilities”
Pros
The level of customization is nearly limitless, but it requires the expertise to implement it. Essentially, you need someone who knows how to code to take full advantage of these capabilities.
Cons
The endless customization options can be overwhelming and/or they might end up costing a lot of time and money if not managed carefully.

“It keeps our information up to date”
Pros
Digital commerce is booming and providing detailed product information fosters trust with customers, keeping sales at an acceptable level and even driving growth. The best part about Pimcore is that it's free which allowed us to test its viability for our company without a financial commitment. Even as a free tool, their customer service is topnotch, making the whole experience even more valuable. It's definitely one of the best PIM tools we've used and has boosted productivity in our sales areas.
Cons
Although the customer support team is great and the overall usability is fairly simple, it was a bit difficult to implement the tool into our operations initially. However the results have been very beneficial. The user interface could use some improvement, as it feels outdated and occasionally the data delivery channels break down, causing delays and loss of information.

“Very flexible and adaptable”
Pros
Pimcore can handle any data model you need, there are no limits. We've used it to solve problems that no other PIM system could address and it integrates PIM, DAM, MDM and more.
Cons
The current user interface doesn't look very modern but I've heard that this will be addressed, which is good news.

“Excellent PIM, solid DAM, and CMS”
Pros
It's extremely flexible when it comes to data types and templates. You can configure processes to meet your business needs and the API makes integration with other systems simple. Customization is easy.
Cons
There are no predefined templates for the CMS and the admin UI lacks theming options, which limits customization.

“Great tool for organizing our data”
Pros
It's easy to use with an intuitive interface. All product content is wellorganized and the DAM system is simple to work with. You can adapt the software to your specific needs and it works for many different channels, all within one platform.
Cons
The implementation process wasn't the easiest.

“I didn't quite like it”
Pros
Pimcore does the job well, allowing us to manage and update our website. We use a bespoke version, which has its drawbacks because it ties you to the developer who created it, rather than giving you the flexibility to hire others.
Cons
It's not very intuitive, and while you can eventually get used to it, it does take time. Since we have a bespoke solution, any changes require us to go back to the company that initially developed our website, which can be inconvenient.

“Getting better with time”
Pros
Pimcore is the only opensource platform that integrates PIM, DAM, and CMS features. With our plugins, it even supports managing print drafts and publications, directly connected to InDesign or exporting PDFs in HD CMYK. Everything is accessible and the flexibility to develop plugins or modify the interface makes it a must have.
Cons
To be honest, there's not much I dislike, though the user interface could be more user-friendly. I believe the new version (v6) will fix this.

“A great platform for building enterprise-grade PIM, MDM, and DAM applications”
Pros
What I love about Pimcore is its completely flexible and extensible data model, which makes creating complex data models easy. It's the only platform that fully integrates PIM, MDM, and DAM, eliminating the need for multiple applications. It's open-source with zero licensing fees, built on the popular Symfony framework and supported by an active community.
Cons
Pimcore is a platform, not an out-of-the-box software so it may not be the best choice if you're looking for something readymade.

“Very beneficial for marketing purposes”
Pros
Pimcore is an incredibly powerful tool that combines PIM, DAM, CMS/UX and eCommerce all into one platform. It also has great documentation to support its users.
Cons
It is more of a framework than a product, which sometimes means that customizations are required.

“One of the best”
Pros
It meets nearly all the needs of a digital transformation project, CMS, DAM, PIM, Web-to-Print and more. What I find truly exceptional is that Pimcore allows easy integration with external services, which very few other systems can do so well.
Cons
Pimcore is evolving quickly, which means that updates can be a bit painful for me, like the transition from ExtJs 3 to ExtJs 6 and from Zend Framework to Symfony. However I've found that these updates are no more difficult than those in competing products. The integration with the Symfony framework is a positive move as it will make Pimcore more stable and easier to update in the future.

“An exceptional framework for PIM, CMS, DAM, and e-commerce needs”
Pros
Pimcore is flexible and extendable, offering PIM, DAM, CMS and e-commerce all in one package. There are so many features that we keep discovering new ones with each implementation. The platform is constantly evolving, with the Pimcore team adding new features based on market demands. Most of its features are generic and extendable and it's easy for developers to add customizations. We've implemented PIM and CMS solutions that enable business owners to control product data and content easily. The platform also supports workflow management, giving product teams control over launch sequences and providing senior management with realtime insights.
Cons
Since Pimcore is a framework and not a product, some customizations are always necessary to meet our specific customer requirements. This is different from product based software where features may be available out of the box. However this extensibility is one of Pimcore's strengths allowing any feature to be implemented.

“Easy to use and very flexible”
Pros
The learning curve for developers is relatively thin. Out-of-the-box functionality lets non-technical users manage the admin interface with ease. Pimcore also supports Redis, easy customization, API integrations and the latest PHP versions. Its architecture is highly flexible, making it easier to define and manage data models.
Cons
Frontend coding is required and there is no universal e-commerce plugin available for all use cases. That said, I have been able to meet all of my client's needs so far so I don't have any major complaints.

“Building bridges between content and commerce”
Pros
Not only is it opensource in terms of its license but Pimcore also embodies the concept of openness. It simplifies technology and allows customers to take an active role in the digital revolution.
Cons
Pimcore isn't a complete solution out of the box. If you expect to find everything ready for your business needs, it may not work as expected. I think professional advice for customization and implementation is crucial.
