“its easy to use but there's definitely room for improvement
Pros
Volusion is a very user-friendly platform. My team used it for several years, and every member was able to log in and make the necessary edits and updates, no matter their level of tech knowledge.
Cons
The support I received wasn't great. We ran into some template issues, and I encountered limitations with my shop. There are definitely some areas that need development and enhancement so that businesses in the future can have more resources and options.

“Excellent support and service with Volusion
Pros
It helps keep our online e-commerce site running smoothly. Our visitors and customers have a good experience on the site because of it. When we've had issues, Volusion's support team has been quick and efficient in resolving them.
Cons
I'd like to see better third party support. For example, I use Freshworks for my CSM portal, and it would be really helpful if there was a way to port data or integrate it with other tools.

“Customer service was great... back in the day
Pros
Whenever we've had issues, customer service has always been easy to reach and incredibly responsive.
Cons
I usually try to fix issues on my own before reaching out for help, but recently the reference pages have been hit or miss. Many links take me to a login page and then tell me I don't have access. I've also noticed that features are split between V1 and V2 accounts, but there's no clear guidance on which version I have or how to upgrade. I tried chatting with support several times, but the loading screen just kept spinning, and when I canceled it, I was told no one was available to help. I ended up emailing support, but I still haven't heard back. I've come to expect more from Volusion based on past experiences.

“Not bad not good
Pros
Volusion is an affordable platform to create a website, especially when we have a small budget.
Cons
The software feels outdated and doesn't have a lot of the newer features that are now standard in other platforms.

“A solid ecommerce platform
Pros
This platform is very easy to use. I was able to learn it quickly, and it's helped me a lot.
Cons
If you're dealing with hundreds of items, I'd definitely recommend using the import/export function to make things easier.

“Its good but getting outdated
Pros
Using Volusion to manage my website and e-commerce store is pretty straightforward. Once it's set up, managing orders is simple.
Cons
The platform is starting to show its age. There are a lot of things I see on other websites that I want to do, but Volusion doesn't support them. Trying to implement more advanced features often means I have to go into the HTML and make changes manually. At least they provide step-by-step instructions for that.

“A bit old-fashioned there are better options out there
Pros
Volusion's platform is a mix of outdated settings and products. Google searches don't lead to helpful information beyond basic answers. The documentation that pops up is from the old Salesforce support website, which doesn't work anymore. Help articles are missing crucial details or steps on how to set up things like Google Merchant feeds. It's a very closed ecosystem with limited vendor options, and overall, the platform feels outdated. It still works, but I honestly regret having to use it because it was already in place for the client.
Cons
The feature set feels really outdated, like I'm working on a platform that hasn't been updated since the early 2000s.

“Managing multiple sites with Volusion
Pros
When we first started with Volusion about 10 years ago, it was the only platform that could handle the volume of products and the vast number of product options we offered.
Cons
According to me, Volusion hasn't kept up with platforms like Magento or Shopify. While it's easier to use and set up than Magento, it doesn't have the vast range of third-party apps and customizations that Shopify offers.
