“Great platform with top-tier support
Pros
What I really love about X-Cart is their awesome customer support. They're quick to respond, professional and always super friendly which makes managing our online store so much easier. Plus, it's easy to use and customize the website to meet our specific needs. The platform's flexibility really lets us present our brand exactly how we want.
Cons
It's quite difficult to use when you're trying to get the hang of some of the more advanced features but once you get used to the system, it's smooth sailing and really reliable.

“Exactly what our company needed
Pros
It's very flexible and it grows with us as our needs change. Every time I have a question, they're quick to get back to me. For custom projects, their pricing is fair and they're great at communicating.
Cons
Honestly, there's nothing we don't like about it and it's been great in every way.

Pros
I've had a super fast response on live chat from a real person which I really appreciate.
Cons
They've got some big compatibility issues with Sema Data. Only about 45% of the images import correctly and they've been trying to fix this for almost four months but it's still not sorted.

The platform is easy to use, simple and the support team has been awesome.
Cons
So far, it's been 100 times better than the last e-commerce platform we used, so I don't really have any cons right now.

Pros
I love the different catalogue import options and the keystone integration. It makes everything run smoothly.
Cons
No phone support which would be nice sometimes but they do respond to emails pretty quickly.

The software used to be really good but over time with fewer sales, I feel like it's not getting the attention it needs anymore.
Cons
They don't really seem to have anyone who understands support. Every question ends up costing extra money and they just waste time, making things even more expensive. They're not willing to fix issues when it's clearly their software's fault. They used to be a solid company but I wouldn't recommend them now if you don't want problems.

“All in one solution
Pros
We've been using It since 2007, and it's been amazing. The stability, security and ability to customize the store to fit our needs have been huge for us. In all these years, we've never had downtime due to any X-Cart issues. Since we sell unique, one-of-a-kind products, perfect inventory control is a must. It keeps our in-stock and out-of-stock records flawless, which is key especially when we don't want a customer to find out their item isn't available after they've spent time deciding on it. The flexibility and ease of customization have helped us dominate our niche in both rankings and customer satisfaction.
Cons
One downside for us with X-Cart 4 is that they focus most of their efforts on the newer X-Cart 5. While this might not be great for us, it's actually a good thing for most new users.It's still getting regular updates and new features, so even though we have a heavily customized version, we're still being taken care of.

“Most affordable e-commerce cart with great features
Pros
My company has been using X-Cart since 2005. Back then, we knew nothing about PHP or smarty technology but it was easy to understand and modify. For a small company like ours, we've been able to handle all configurations and upgrades ourselves without needing to hire IT support. The community forum is super helpful too and people share their experiences, problems, solutions and fixes. For those who aren't familiar with IT, there are plenty of companies, including X-Cart itself that offer upgrade and maintenance services. It gives us all the features we need and a bunch we don't but it's great to see they're always keeping up with the latest technologies. And, unlike a lot of e-commerce platforms, there are no monthly fees. Once we bought the license back in 2005, we've been using the software on our own server with no extra costs.
Cons
We don't have any cons, it gives us everything we need.
