Much room for improvement

Pros

The ease of use and HIPAA compliance are excellent.

Cons

Under medication management, allergies are not displayed, and it is crucial for me to be aware of them when administering medications.

Easy weekly schedule completion

Pros

I'm usually able to find the tools I need to schedule the individuals I work with and complete my MTPRs on a weekly basis without much trouble. Everything is laid out clearly so I never have to dig around or waste time. It just makes staying on top of my weekly tasks feel manageable and routine.

Cons

It really frustrates me when an update ends up creating extra work for our company instead of actually helping us.

excellent support with patient management

Pros

The customer support, staff, workflow and patient management are all excellent. Plus the system is easy to use, packed with features and offers great value for money. In short they truly take care of their customers.

Cons

Every so often it goes down and I'm unable to take notes although sometimes I suspect it's my internet connection. Despite that occasional hiccup, the system generally works well for me.

clean dashboards with helpful support

Pros

Alleva EMR layout is clean and the dashboards are very easy to use. Also the customer support has been genuinely helpful when I have needed it and I rely on the strong reporting and claims-tracking tools.

Cons

At times the app loads slowly and I notice some report filters offer limited flexibility. I also wish there were more customization options overall.

Easy after regular use

Pros

Its interface is really easy to use. After I show a new trainee how it works, they usually need some time to review what I have taught them. But with regular use, it definitely becomes simpler and user friendly over time.

Cons

When I am reviewing treatment plans the system often adds random letters and numbers after I type a period. So I then have to go back and delete them manually which is frustrating and gets really tedious over time.

informative training with helpful videos

Pros

The training is quite informative and the visual aids made learning the software much easier. Also the tutorial videos aligned perfectly with the tasks I was hired to do which helped me get up to speed quickly.

Cons

There were moments when the information felt overwhelming all at once but by the time I actually used the program I felt comfortable and confident navigating it.

autosave preserves data reliably

Pros

Using this is incredibly simple and user friendly. As I can locate everything I need quickly and what I really love is the autosave features. Means regardless of what occurs, my data stays preserved well.

Cons

Rarely it does glitch and I find it annoying having to return to my previous place but honestly that has happened to me just once over two years of using the app.

Easy navigation with various features

Pros

Alleva is pretty easy to use and navigate. As I didn't have much trouble learning the various features available on the site.

Cons

I often have problems with notes or other info not saving which is really frustrating. Especially after I have almost finished a group note for a session with over ten people and then everything just disappears.

Fun interface with networking tools

Pros

The UI is fun and simple to use and it includes networking and communication tools that make it easy for me to reach people directly and share information.

Cons

If I am being honest I don't have many complaints, just occasional random glitches that pop up now and then. And yes I remember we ran into lots of problems with room changes whenever the timing lapsed.

Missing useful features

Pros

Only thing I really liked about Alleva was the To-Do list as it's very well built and feels more powerful than the task features in many other programs.

Cons

Time to time I ran into a lot of problems such as key features being missing, billing reports being a nightmare and treatment-plan tools being overly complicated and hard to use. Also prices changed without warning and when I pointed it out, the company was quick to threaten or retaliate. Support was often slow or unhelpful and I ended up feeling like we had to prove the issues ourselves explaining problems they could not seem to recreate.

never delivered what was promised

Pros

I really like the dashboard's To-do list feature. As it stood out as one of Alleva's few redeeming elements. I really wish more parts of their software were this user-friendly.

Cons

During our contract they repeatedly failed to deliver on its promises. The calendar was a major headache as appointments would switch from complete back to open for no reason and scheduled times would change unexpectedly. These glitches disrupted our workflow, created documentation risks and slowly broke our trust in the platform. We filed dozens of support tickets and spent hours on the phone, often dealing with the same problems over and over but real fixes were rare. Support often blamed user error instead of looking deeper. Even when we provided clear proof, we still had to reproduce the issues ourselves. Many tickets were closed without a real solution. At times, support leadership came across as confrontational or condescending which made things worse. When they finally admitted to backend problems, there was little follow-up on how they'd be fixed. Also the system was often slow and data would sometimes fail to save or go missing creating extra work for staff and affecting patient care. Despite reporting these issues many times, nothing meaningful was ever done.

Quote turned into a binding contract

Pros

Nothing major to share. I just felt like they made everything sound extremely positive.

Cons

They presented the document as just a quote but it turned out to be a contract and we ended up signing it.

billing is incorrect

Pros

Alleva has real potential and could be a good product but I am frustrated by so many basic issues. It feels like they focus on adding new features instead of fixing the bugs and glitches we deal with all the time.

Cons

I honestly can't count how many problems we have had. Such as our company keeps getting billed incorrectly and it feels like we are being taken advantage of. We get kicked out of the system all the time while things are loading. New features are rolled out with little to no explanation. Plus the way the team works together is very unorganized, like there is no clear direction. I have spoken with the leadership several times and only gotten generic replies. It seems like they don't really care about us or our clients just collecting a paycheck.

strong custom reports from the backend

Pros

My users find the interface incredibly easy to use and I get really strong custom reports from the back end.

Cons

Built-in CRM features are a bit underdeveloped though I am relieved they can connect smoothly with other CRM platforms.

Pros

Clean design but forms fail often

Pros

Alleva EMR is a well-designed product with a clean, modern look that I really like.

Cons

Over the years I have spent a huge amount of time building custom forms and intake workflows only to see them fail over and over forcing me to rebuild and often losing data in the process. I also think the Utilization Review module is underdeveloped and really needs input from UR staff to become useful for our team.

Simple navigation with limited options

Pros

This platform fits my needs and is simple to navigate. I depend more on the calendar/scheduler for my day to day work than on the Tasks section. Moving between different sections is easy too and the overall workflow seems user friendly too.

Cons

I find the options limited and the platform lacks versatility although it seems more options may be added in the future.

way too easy to learn

Pros

Alleva EMR is really easy to use. This is my first real exposure to computer systems in my life. I had been planning to retire but now I'm realizing that learning these skills is becoming extremely important to me.

Cons

Sometimes the program freezes. And once the system went down and stayed offline for a couple of days which was really frustrating.
