“Real-time clinical transcription is accurate
Pros
One thing I really like about Amazon Transcribe Medical is that it automatically produces highly accurate real-time transcriptions of clinical conversations without me having to intervene.
Cons
It frustrates me that transcription quality can fluctuate a lot based on speakers accents, ambient noise levels or when I am using a lower-quality microphone.

“Amazing accuracy for medical terminology
Pros
The accuracy with medical terminology is amazing that too both for real-time and batch transcriptions. I also like how well it integrates with the broader AWS ecosystem and their customer support has been helpful when I have needed assistance.
Cons
One thing I noticed is that the accuracy sometimes falls short, costs can add up, latency can be a problem and integration is not always smooth. I also feel that more diverse audio training data is needed to improve performance.

“Incredibly fast and easy documentation
Pros
When I use it, documenting patient histories and assessments becomes incredibly fast and easy. I simply speak and if needed, repeat patient details and the tool transcribes everything immediately.
Cons
Not having any built-in storage for the notes I create makes things tricky for me, because if I miss saying something or forget a detail, there is no saved copy to fall back on.

“Turns medical audio into text easily
Pros
Amazon Transcribe Medical lets me turn any medical spoken audio into text with ease. The interface is also user friendly and the transcriptions are highly accurate, making it great for voice-enabled services.
Cons
I am put off by how expensive this service feels when you look at pricing. Also it is better if they refresh the UI/UX so that other users and I can complete tasks with an ease. And currently it does not handle several Indian languages such as Hindi and Marathi. So if they rolled out support for those languages, it would be a huge advantage for companies based in India.

“Hugely helpful for doctor-patient conversations
Pros
Its ability to convert spoken words into text is hugely helpful during conversations between doctors and patients. Overall it feels like a reliable, scalable solution that offers real-time transcribing with relatively few mistakes.
Cons
Occasionally the transcription accuracy drops and because of that I have noticed misunderstandings between patients and doctors. So I really think the transcription needs to be far more precise and dependable and consistent.

“awsome speech tool, but high price
Pros
One thing I appreciate is that it includes automatic speech recognition, which makes the app really easy and user-friendly. It genuinely helps me push my capabilities to the next level. Their customer support has been extremely helpful many times.
Cons
I find the services rather pricey compared with other providers on the market. The UI/UX isn't particularly effective either which is frustrating. They should introduce several additional user-focused features to make the experience smoother.

“Efficient tool so far
Pros
the voice to text translation feature really improves conversations between a doctor and their patients. I also find it to be a reliable, scalable product with real-time capabilities and relatively low error rates.
Cons
Sometimes I notice the transcription accuracy drops which creates confusion and problems in the understanding between patients and doctors because of that, the accuracy needs to be much more precise and dependable.

“Incredibly useful speech recognition
Pros
The automatic speech recognition feature is incredibly useful. As it is simple to use and very user-friendly. And whenever I have needed help, the customer support team has been responsive and very helpful.
Cons
Personally I think the services are quite pricey compared with other providers in the market. The UI/UX has not been particularly impressive either and I wish they would add more user-focused features to make the whole experience smoother.

“good for speech to texts
Pros
What I appreciate most about it is that I can easily turn medical speech recordings into text. I find it really simple to use and the transcription accuracy is excellent. I see it being particularly helpful when building voice-enabled services.
Cons
My main complaint is that the pricing is quite high, which can be prohibitive for many projects. I'd also like to see a refreshed UI/UX so tasks are more interactive. Currently Amazon Transcribe lacks support for several Indian languages such as Hindi and Marathi, adding those languages would make it far more useful for India-based companies.

“great for busy doctors' notes
Pros
What I appreciate most is that it can transcribe individual audio files via asynchronous API batch requests, which genuinely makes it much easier for me to capture notes during the very busy outpatient (OPD) sessions that medical professionals handle every day.
Cons
Honestly I haven't run into any drawbacks so far.

Pros
I really like that it can transcribe individual audio files using asynchronous API batch calls. That makes it much easier for me to capture notes while handling hectic OPDs as a medical professional.

“best for hard speech and files
Pros
I am very impressed by how well it detects speech, handles overlapping and missed segments and separates speakersits speaker diarization is outstanding. Another plus is that it accepts many different file formats, which I find extremely useful.
Cons
When it comes to using it, I notice a few drawbacks with Transcribe. There isn't a ready-made Python library that hooks into Transcribe on the backend, so you have to set up an AWS account and add your secret keys to the AWS CLI to get it running. I use Google Speech Recognition which is much simpler you can feed the audio file directly and it returns competitive results without the extra setup.

“Outstanding speech detection and formats
Pros
The way it handles speech detection, including overlapping and missed segments along with speaker diarization is outstanding. I also love that it accepts a wide range of file formats, which makes it much more easy to use.
Cons
When it comes to using it I run into several practical problems. Such as I do not have access to a ready-made Python package that connects to Transcribe on the backend. Instead I am forced to create an AWS account and supply secret keys so I can operate via the AWS CLI. On the other hand I have used Google's speech recognition which is much simpler. As I can just hand over an audio file and get back strong, competitive transcriptions without the same setup hassle.

“Modern and easy, but poor help
Pros
the interface is very modern and incredibly easy to use, which makes administration simple and training new users quick, the platform also stays current with the latest technologies.
Cons
However, my experience with their customer service and billing has been awful, there isn't a real human assigned to resolve problems, so requests get routed to an impersonal virtual support system that ultimately passes everything to a tiny, overstretched team elsewhere.
