“Friendly support when needed”
Pros
Getting started with it is simple and the system is simple to understand. Customer service has also been very helpful and friendly whenever needed.
Cons
I'm not sure whether there's a live chat option for customer support. If it isn't available, that would be a useful feature to add.

“works perfectly for us”
Pros
Between the scheduling tools and the way speech and OT services are kept separate, this system fits our workflow really well. The patient portal has also been a big plus especially for intake forms and giving patients direct access to their information. I also appreciate the reminders for authorizations and reports. On the billing side, resubmitting claims is much simpler than with other EMRs I've used and the automatic accepted/rejected/denied updates save a lot of time.
Cons
The appointment reminder messages can't be customized yet although it seems like that feature may be coming. The billing tab can also feel confusing sometimes and I wish payments could be tied directly to a specific service.

“Boosts my productivity”
Pros
Whenever issues come up, the support team is always willing to help and follows through. They do an excellent job of listening to customer feedback and taking future feature requests seriously. The report customization is something I really appreciate and I keep discovering new ways to use it to boost productivity.
Cons
Updates get released slowly. Our business is expanding quickly so we need software that can move at the same pace. Even though I really value it, there are still a few features we absolutely need right away.

“A bit too pricey”
Pros
A big plus is that the platform is built specifically around pediatrics which makes it feel more relevant for that kind of practice.
Cons
The pricing is hard to ignore and some features don't work as well as they should especially text messaging and intake. It also feels behind without AI capabilities.

“their team responds quickly”
Pros
Customer support is the best part. The team is consistently quick to respond when I reach out with questions and if they do not have an answer right away, they always follow up afterward. I also appreciate the therapy side of the software because it is very user-friendly and simple to work through.
Cons
Even after eight years of using it in the front office, I really have not noticed any meaningful improvement in the administrative side. There are still too many chances for mistakes and it feels like the system has not received the updates needed to make it more efficient and accurate.

“outstanding scheduling tools”
Pros
The scheduling tools are a favorite of mine and the insight reports, documentation and goal charts are all really useful.
Cons
The biggest frustration is with PRN therapists who may only work one day a week or just step in when someone is out sick yet we still have to pay for a full month. I'd really like an option in the schedule to move an entire day over to another therapist. On the billing side, if someone is just covering for a therapist we already pay for, it would make sense to have some kind of credit or at least discounted pricing for employees who work four days a month or less. I'd also prefer the option to stop a daily note from auto-populating when we're completing an evaluation or progress report. Another feature that would help is being able to set goal mastery once for all goals instead of having to select the mastery level for each individual one.

“Comes with pediatric-specific information”
Pros
It's helpful that it already includes pediatric-specific information built into the system.
Cons
Response time is slow. A lot of the time, when I move to a different section, the screen jumps to another spot and I have to scroll around again to get back where I was. It also happens often when I'm searching for a patient, I'll start entering the name and then the page refreshes and deletes what I already typed.

“sped up my documentation”
Pros
Having everything in one database has been a huge plus. The system is simple to use and covers all the essentials I need, from scheduling and family reminders to user messaging and billing. Even customer support is there when needed although I rarely have to reach out. It has definitely sped up my documentation quite a bit.
Cons
I'd really like to see a birthday alert, unless that feature already exists and I just haven't come across it yet.

“Most user-friendly EMR I've used”
Pros
Compared with other EMR systems I've worked with, it has been the most user-friendly by far. Even though we handle billing in-house, the Fusion billing team is still available when questions come up and they've consistently responded in a timely way. The intake forms in the patient portal have also made that part of the intake process much simpler and more organized.
Cons
A few of the insights tools could be more functional than they are now and I'd really like the ability to run reports based on deductible and out-of-pocket amounts which currently isn't possible. It would also help if Fusion kept a clearer history of patient file creation and any scheduling changes, including who moved an appointment and when it was changed. On top of that, having communication with families tracked directly in the patient file such as emails for invoices and appointment reminders, along with text reminders, would make it much easier to review billing-related contact history.

“Helpful for shared therapy schedules”
Pros
Works really well when several therapists are seeing the same children. It makes it simple to check whether their therapy times overlap.
Cons
there's no way to message multiple users at once like sending progress updates to both parents in a split household. It's also frustrating that the patient search sometimes won't let me select someone unless I hit backspace while typing their name.

“user-friendly all-in-one workflow”
Pros
Everything feels user-friendly to use and setting things up is simple. Having both the clinical and business functions available right from the home page makes day-to-day work much more convenient.
Cons
The revenue cycle reporting is not as powerful as I'd like. At times, it feels like some limitations are there to push users toward buying their revenue cycle services. That said, after making a few adjustments within our departments, we were able to pull together everything we needed to run an effective and efficient front and back office, including handling billing in-house.

“Scheduling and documentation stand out”
Pros
Scheduling and documentation work really well for both the office team and the therapists which has been a big help in day-to-day operations.
Cons
At the beginning, the onboarding support was very helpful but over the past month or so the customer service has dropped off quite a bit. We've also run into errors in the Insights feature and that has had a major impact on our reports and business decisions. We've contacted support but the responses have been very slow and the problems still haven't been fixed. We've emailed multiple people and still haven't heard back.

“gives strong sense of security”
Pros
It gives our clinic a stronger sense of security and keeps things organized, while also making it simple for different practitioners to cover therapy sessions by quickly pulling up the information they need.
Cons
Being able to open multiple windows at the same time like a daily note alongside a progress note, would really help. That would make quarterly and annual documentation, along with billing, much faster and less time-consuming.

“Feature-rich platform”
Pros
It's a pretty user-friendly system and feels simple to work with overall. There are also a lot of built-in options available which gives you plenty to choose from.
Cons
At the same time, having so many options can make navigation a bit more difficult and narrowing down what works best takes time. I often end up creating my own template in certain areas because working through all of the preloaded choices can be time-consuming.

“Clear documentation”
Pros
The documentation is clear and the system is generally simple to work with. It also does a good job of helping us stay organized with notes and patient visits.
Cons
It falls short when it comes to customization since we can't tailor evaluations or attach photos. There's also no way to create a multidisciplinary evaluation. On top of that, we operate 6 clinics and some clients visit more than one location so it would really help if appointment reminders included the clinic location.

“timesaving features”
Pros
Being able to carry last week's notes forward and update them saves time and having billing tied directly to the notes is really helpful. Signing in is quick and unlike our previous EMR, this one hasn't had those system shutdown periods. It's also useful to view other therapists' schedules when coordinating care.
Cons
The frequent password changes are frustrating. I also wish new goals added during each reassessment would automatically carry over into the following week's note. Another annoyance is having to complete a discharge summary after an eval, even when I'm not recommending services, just so the patient can appear as discharged.

Pros
Learning new workflows and processes doesn't take much time and their team has been very open and responsive when it comes to new ideas and suggestions.

“Can carry information forward”
Pros
It is very easy to handle for therapists. Even back when I was a new grad, it was simple to learn and didn't take long to get comfortable with. Being able to pull information forward from a previous note is really convenient. The quick phrases are especially useful during evaluations because they help speed up documentation and the goal bank is a big plus for goals that therapists use on a regular basis.
Cons
After sending a fax, you can't go back and view the fax cover sheet or see what was typed on it. There also isn't a page where admin can review all sent faxes. That becomes a problem when a physician calls with a question tied to a specific fax from a therapist. Without a way to see the sent faxes or cover sheets, there's no clear way to tell which therapist sent it unless the whole staff is asked and many times the therapist doesn't remember exactly what was written on the fax cover sheet.
