“Its very easy to use
Pros
Love this and how easy it is to add schedules from a PDF format and that I can view the schedule both from the app and at home on my computer.
Cons
What I don't like is that staff can't see who has signed up for on call shifts and I can't edit the daily staffing sheet to fit on one page or customize shifts the way I want.

“Decent for work tracking
Pros
I appreciate that NurseGrid clearly shows who is working and when. I also like that you can request shift swaps directly from the app and see when those changes happen.
Cons
I don't like that staff can't see who volunteered for low census shifts.

“Good but could be better
Pros
This software is pretty easy to use, but there are definitely some limitations and features that I thought would be better or simpler to use than they actually are.
Cons
The things we like least are the self-scheduling feature, the options to update shift types like incentive shifts and the notes section.

“Easy but a bit lacking..

It is so easy to load schedules and post open shifts when needed with the help of this tool.
Cons
The app doesn't work well on Android devices. The texting function is broken and you can't clear the messaging inbox. Trading and giving away shifts is cumbersome and sometimes I accidentally schedule shifts just by clicking on a day in the schedule.

“Manager app needs to be revived
Pros
What I liked most was the Manager app that allowed me to make schedule changes right from my phone.
Cons
They no longer have the Manager app, so now I have to log into the desktop version to make any changes, which is inconvenient.

“Great for hospital schedules
Pros
I like being able to access the system from both my phone and computer. It's simple to make changes and note any scheduling shortages.
Cons
I'm not sure what else to say except that not all hospital departments use it, and the House Supervisor refused to use it altogether.

The whole idea of online scheduling is a good concept and really helpful for our work.
Cons
Only the schedule manager can adjust the schedule, which is frustrating because other employees who need to take call or manage the schedule can't make changes. Also you can't do anything from the app unless you log in on the website.

“Refined our work operations
Pros
According to the setup team, my company was the most complicated they have ever worked with so I have to give credit because from day one it was surprisingly easy and user friendly. Also it didn't shock us with pricing, which was a big plus. Day-to-day operations run very smoothly and loading monthly schedules is fast and easy, the longest part is preparing my spreadsheets for upload but I'd have to do that regardless. I absolutely love that nurses can keep track of their multiple licenses and when they expire, it's such a handy personal reminder!
Cons
My two biggest issues are that they removed the Manager app for phones so instead of being able to easily change schedules right from the app after hours, I have to use a browser or my laptop. This isn't a huge time problem but since I'm often in my car when this happens, having the Manager app back would be really helpful. The other issue is that on some older iPhones and Androids, the app functions poorly. Only about three employees have this issue so it's not a huge deal, they just have to use their computers as backup.

I love the way the platform looks and how easy it is to navigate and understand. I also appreciate that you can perform the same functions in different ways depending on where you are within the platform.
Cons
I don't have any specific complaints about it itself but I do wish our facility had integrated it with our payroll system to make payroll processes easier.

I wish there was a way to remove someone from the schedule that wasn't just marking them as sick or deleting them entirely.
